	I had an appointment with the oncologist today. He's from some eastern European contry, and very stoic. I only see him every 3 months, and I have the distinct impression I'm the only pregnant (and under 70 yr old) patient he has. Today he told me how great everything was doing on my labs and also that women are much stronger than men, because he couldn't imagine being able to carry a child, especially after what I had. The best part tho... we were discussing my shots which I have to do in the stomach area and I was telling him I try to avoid where the baby's feet are so she doesn't kick the needle, when she did a little kick. I said something about 'oh, she's kicking now' and he asked if he could feel it. He put his hand on my belly and she kicked so hard it showed up on the outside. I've never seen a guy so freaked out. He scooted his rolling chair back across the room and had a look in his eyes that was priceless. I was trying so hard not to laugh that I was crying. I bet that was the first time he ever felt a baby moving inside the mother. After that he said he could never be an obstetrician, it was too 'weird'. It's not just the kicks, there's also the alien head rolls that change the entire shape of your stomach, the times you swear you can see either a fist or foot pushed out and held there, the 'internal' kicks (every time she kicks me internally I feel like yelling out "OW, my SPLEEN!"), and the strange movements that are beyond definition. Not to mention the braxton-hicks contractions that make all the muscles in your stomach tense up and cause me to stop whatever I'm doing and just stand there with an, I'm sure, strange expression on my face. I think she might have hiccups now.
