	After almost 8 months, I finally figured out why I could never get full surround sound out of my home theater system. 	Starting in September, our work is switching to 'fortnights'. This means we work 9 hour days Monday through Thursday, 8 hours on Friday, and have every other friday off. There is no reason for this other than "The president of the company decided to do this." Half of the site will have the first Friday off, the other half will have the second Friday off. This will mess up many carpools, cause them to have to pay us 9 hours for vacation, use up sick time faster, and in many ways just be a pain in the patookie. I hope I can work at home the entire time they are 'trying' this out, but I usually end up working at least a 9 hour day anyway, so I don't see it affecting me very much, other than having a Friday off every other week... Oh, and now our workweeks start at noon on Friday.
