i saw a review on it yesterday and it looks like you can set your sim on auto pilot pretty much. i tried the games on the ps1 and xbox and they were way too fast paced.

got skate yesterday. achievements are gonna be hard to get but its fun.

The PC version is very different I think from the PS1 and xbox.....its better. And the handheld systems are Sims games but not the same either.....I know weird.

This is something that has bothered me for years. I really like the sims but lack the computing power to play on my current out-moded PC and have been forced to play the console versions which really do suck compared to the PC versions. What I don't get is why, especially on XBOX 1 and even more so XBOX 360, they can't make a true port. I get that mouse/keyboard inputs (or lack thereof) can affect the decision to port from PC but if so, why not just make those input devices? Both a mouse and keyboard have been produced for other platforms/consoles. And I'm sure Microsoft's consoles have the storage and computing power to handle the full games. I'm stumped. And a little angry.

I can't wait until the 4th is over with so I can play some games again. The 1st of the month on Wed. and 4th of July on Sat. makes for a rediculously busy time in produce. I will enjoy the OT on my paycheck, but actually working it still sucks. I think I'll be off the 5th and will probably spend a recovery day playing more Gears and Tiger 10.

Frisbee golf is a lot of fun, btw. More fun with others than by yourself, of course. I haven't even tried the golf part of the game yet, lol. My dad did, though, and he liked it. Of course he actually plays golf, so I'm afraid I'm going to suck at it much worse than he does...

Frisbee golf as a video game doesn't sound very fun. Unless there are zombies. tongue

umm...is that a good thing or a bad thing? the demo was pretty sweet, but I haven't played the full game yet.

I finally got GhostBusters in. Pretty fun so far, but the load times are driving me nuts. I died 3 times in one spot and ended up shutting it off b/c I was getting sick of wating 2+ minutes for it to load the last checkpoint. Were load times that bad on the 360 too, or am I just suffering b/c the PS3 version became available first?

as far as i know they were released on the same day. i think i had about 30 second load times.

afro samurai was just the same thing over and over. i liked the demo, i liked the game. just not the whole thing.

i like game fly so far. i get another game in about 4 days. i think rushing through games to get them back so i can get another may be part of the problem i had with afro samurai.

OMG! I LOVED Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. Anytime you get to use a jar of mayonaise to move a bookshelf makes a game AWESOME! I will need to download that one... of course when we upgraded our computer (when I was in highschool) it didn't work right after that and there was no sound. I hope they tweaked it so it will run on these 'super fast' computers like it used to on our 386....

I meant that it became available from gamefly first, not that it was released first, sorry.

So has anyone played Battlefield 1943 yet? I d/led the demo last night, but haven't given it a try yet. A buddy of mine recommended it, so I decided to check it out. It sounds like a good deal: $15 for what appears to be a fairly well put together online shooter. I'm itching to play some online multiplayer with someone since all my PS3 buddies ditched their copies of World at War.

I tend to like games that are not just run around and shoot everything that moves. well cept zombie games. Left for dead was good.

For the Wii, Mario Kart is hysterical, with a lot of replay potential. Don't bother getting the wheels, just use the normal controls. The Force Unleashed was OK, buy it used.

If you want, I have 2 WWII games that I don't play anymore... IIRC, something Vanguard... and ? At any rate, if you want them, LMK.

Mellisa and the kids love Mario Galaxy, but I can't stand it. But Lego Star Wars (and to a lesser extent, Inidana Jones) is well worth getting.

There's a reason you separate military and the police.
One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people.
When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people.

Are you looking for an RPG? If so, Mass Effect and Fallout 3 are a couple very good RPG's on the 360. They take place in 2183 and 2277 respectively with the former featuring planet hopping space action with plenty of killer robots, killer zombie robots and killer aliens and the latter centering around a post nuclear apocalyptic D.C. area with plenty of killer robots, killer zombies, wasteland thugs and good ole' fashioned radiation. Great games both.

A great quasi-zombie shooter (most of 'em are just demented and mutated, not undead and not slow) is Bioshock. Very cool, very creepy underwater art-deco city, with a big, guaranteed to not get boring arsenal. Shocking someone while they're standing in a pool of water never gets old. ZZZAP!

Another good one is the Katamari Damacy port-ish game for 360-simple addictive gameplay that largely involves rolling a sticky ball around and picking things up with it. Strange, but satisfying. Nothing like starting out with thumbtacks and lady bugs and working your way up to skyscrapers and clouds.

Finally, you might like Bully: Scholarship editon for either system, too. A great high school hijinks action RPG and cheap to boot. It's basically a port of the XBOX 1 version with the DLC tacked on but still an awesome game. Feels kinda like a Harry Potter game with MUCH more freedom, more slingshots and snowballs, some skateboarding, and you get to give other students indian burns. More entertaining than turning them into ferrets.
