	Lately, it feels like all I’ve done is whine & complain, and tomorrow marks one of those days when it’s easy to forget the meaning by trying to uphold the traditions. When you live in a big family, it’s not hard to get lost in the process, and lose the purpose. So, I am doing this before the insanity begins, and I will try to keep this list in my mind, the way I keep it in my heart, as I struggle through the day itself. I Give Thanks… For the roof over my head, the food on my table and the work that makes it all possible. For the parents who have loved, supported and nurtured so many, enabling us to continue the traditions they have given us. For the children who fill my life with joy and chaos and a love I may have never known without them. For the people who stand by me, through all the madness and the joy, and offer so much of themselves in the simple name of friendship. For a country that believes in the rights of its people and has shown me that fairness can and does exist in this world, even when things look the worst. For the humility and grace of one man, who saw his defeat in an election and chose to put aside the animosity of the campaign and his party to speak out and try to bring a sense of unity to the country he loves, the country he has proudly and honorably served for many years. For the vision and conviction of one man, who stood out from the crowd and let it be known that he was willing to carry the weight of a grateful nation during this difficult time. For the people who opened their minds and made a statement, that this country is far from beat, and we will prevail, if only on the backs of the many hard working and dedicated Americans it has always depended on. For the people who opened their hearts and reached out to someone in need, giving them a hand up so they can overcome their trials. 	Great idea, Jen. I am thankful for my daughter, who is truly a gift from God. Not a day goes by in my life where I am not thankful for her. she absolutely saved my life in every possible way. I am thankful for the help and love of my family. Even though they make me nuts, I love them...and wouldnt be sitting in my own home right now if it werent for them. I am thankful to live in the greatest country on earth. Even though our economy is tanking, the average citizen still lives like a king in comparison to most of the worlds population. I am thankful for my friends. I dont know who or where I would be if it werent for all of you. You bless my life daily, and I love you all. 	"Thanks" Such a simple word that holds a rich amount of gratitude for the person who really means it when it is said. I think everyone here qualifies. You can say "thanks" when your meal is brought and you can say "thanks" when someone opens the door for you but when it comes from friends, to me, it is the greatest "THANKS" of all. It means that someone you care about, cares enough about you to let you know how much they appreciate you and that's a boost everyone can't do without, no matter what your status is and in the "spirit of giving" thanks, my very fine Ladies, it brings out certainly one of the most warm and wonderful human qualities that never ceases to make the world a better place. Such a simple word. So "Thanks" Zoo, Mistress, Becca and Nnay for your gratitude in recognizing your friendships and the importance they carry in your lives. I always believe that if people were measured in friendships, I would be in Fortune 500 but that isn't validation, I know that I am rich when it comes to that aspect of My Life and I am forever grateful. I say "Thanks" to all the Love that surrounds me and the strength it provides. ... and I am really thankful that My Mom arrived safely and am enjoying her here. edit: spellin' bee got me. -----signature----- What's in there? 	I give thanks for my family, and their continued health. Even if my parents aren't in the best of health all the time, it could be worse. They are still here and still giving me love and support. I give thanks for my sister and her family, and for my adorable nephews. I give thanks for my job - for continued employment, and for being able to work in my chosen field. It may be incredibly stressful at times, but I'm grateful to be here, doing what I'm doing, with the ability to contribute towards a better environment. (Just need to keep telling myself that!) And today, I'm grateful that one of my devices achieved a company milestone yesterday. I give thanks for my home - for being able to live on my own, in a lovely little house, out of the city surrounded by nature. And finally, I'm so grateful for my friends - all of you! Over the past five years, I've dealt with a hard decision between living out here and moving back to Colorado so I could see you guys on a regular basis. Many of you are more than just best friends, you're like family. When I go back to visit each year... rather than feeling a bit awkward because of time apart, it feels like I am coming home to family. 	I'm grateful for having a wonderful, caring, loving man that loves me back. I could go on & on but I won't. I'm thankful for having 2 cats that love us unconditionally and grateful our Maggie is not suffering anymore. I'm thankful for my job, my house, my car even though it is on it's last tire (so to speak). I'm grateful for having a wonderful and intelligent daughter, a fascinating mother and mother-in-law. Loving siblings, nieces & nephews as well as sibling-in-laws (saves on typing ). Also a wee bit grateful we don't live right next door to them I do miss them. I'm thankful for my health, for the love I have to offer others and for everyday I have to do so. I'm grateful for the time I get to spend with all of you. You're more then family (we don't get to pick family) I truly am thankful I've meet such a wonderful group of people that as a sum we could do anything we put our minds to, and have I'm thankful that we have so many little ones that brings youth back into my life, just when I thought it was getting boring I get to squish spit up through my toes I'm going to be thankful for a wonderful, romantic, enchanted, wedding we will be having next year and that if you choose, can be a part of too. I don't keep wet food around the house and forgot to grab a can/sachet when I was at the store yesterday. I'm thankful for living in the greatest city in this country. I'm thankful for having a job that lets me do what I love: see the world and spend time with friends and family. I'm thankful for the unconditional love of my feline companion, who is at this very moment trying to eat my foot through my sock. I'm thankful for having an amazingly wonderful piece of engineering and technology in the driveway, and for her predecessor (elder sister?) who sacrificed herself to keep us safe when we needed it most (hard to think that was just this February). I'm thankful for Volvo having a safety first mindset, without which I would not survive. I'm thankful for having an awesome family back home who remind me every time I go back that moving away was the hardest decision to make, and for all the friends here--who are like family--that remind me every time that I made the right decision. I'm thankful for better living through modern medicine, without which I would not survive. 	For my friends and for portions of my family, both in this world and the next. For my car, for my phone, and for my computer, which let me keep in touch with my friends in this world.
