Free Fan club tables/exhibit space at Celebration III

I just got this from the starwars e-mailed newsletter.
"Lucasfilm and Gen Con LLC will set aside a special Star Wars fan area with free exhibit space for a limited number of clubs and groups that qualify."
Guidelines and requirements for applying are at starwarscelebration.com. Application process goes through December 9th. Applications go through Mary Franklin.
Each group gets an 8" table and 2 chairs in a 10' x 10' space. It must be staffed by at least one person at all times.
Would the RMFF be interested in doing this?
I think the club would have a good chance at it.

Most likely the larger FanForce.net organization will have space there, and we can sign up to fill in some slots at the table there... I just don't the RMFF having as a big a draw on an international level 
I'm probably going to work the FanForce table and maybe the Legion table at some point over that weekend, at least once

Most of us who went to CII together worked the FanForce table at some point, it was a blast, I recommend everyone sign up for a shift.
I don't think we need a seperate RMFF, table that would be a huge time committement to have to staff it just with our group for 4 days, we want to have some fun too.

As great as it is to participate on this side of things, I have to admit I agree with OW. This is one con that I want to just have fun at. No worries about working, getting things done, no schedules besides events that I want to see!

There is talk of a FF wide table. some groups are getting their own table, but with the requirement that it must be staffed at all times, it would put a strain on the groups.

I'm fairly certain that the only individual FanForce that will have a table will be the Indy Knights, and all the other ones will be told to join the FanForce table by LFL... That was how it worked last time... You have to have more presence that just a local one to be in the Fan Room of this con. Indy Knights might get a table again, just because it is their city, and they usually lend some amazing support to the event.
I expect you'll see the following groups there:
501st
Rebel Legion
FanForce
Bricks to Bothans
Star Wars Chicks
The Dented Helmet
and maybe, just maybe the Order of the Grey (gonna depend on if they can ever get their act together on a larger scale than they have in the past)
There will also be a place for the Droid Builders, but that will most likely be another separate room, like last time.
Mind you, this is all speculation, but I'd be willing to put some money on it

FanForce
Members of the FanForce online group describe themselves as a "force of fans" dedicated to enjoying the Star Wars experience. From hosting the Mr. Star Wars competition at Dragon*Con in Atlanta to helping restore the X-wing model at the Wings Over the Rockies Museum in Denver, FanForce members are typically busy improving their surroundings. Their main goals at Celebration III are to get the word out about their activities and invite fans to join in the fun.

Perhaps someone would be interested in putting together a posterboard photomontage for the FanForce booth of us working on the X-Wing. I have pics, as does Zoo.
