We have a family of mice who travel through my room every night to snack on dog food in the kitchen. When I came home from work tonight, my mom told me that she had almost bought a kitten while at a neighbors garage sale. Enuff! My life is nuts enough with a toddler and a puppy, so I packed the toddler and grammie in the car and we went to Wal-mart on a search for something to help us with our mouse problem. My first rule...no poison. Its cruel and very dangerous for the kid/puppy. Second rule...no glue traps. Oh, they catch em just fine...but the darn thing will scream until I get up and "take it out". Ewww. Very unpleasant. We ended up with the tried and true bait traps. I have no less than four traps slathered with peanut butter in my room. So far nada. Fingers are crossed.

I can't stop eating chocolate. Seriously. I got a huge Hersheys Dark from Santa. It has sat on my desk unmolested since then. Today I open it up and CANT STOP EATING IT! Its a pounder.

I'm just confused. apparently while I was on vacation I got the 'everyday leader' award for my job. I'm happy, but also rather wondering Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot is going on??!! I thought they thought I suck at my job...

all of the sudden I'm STARVING, but I want something like spaghetti with meatsauce or fried chicken. I'm not sure exactly what I want, but it is definitely not something sweet...

today started with the cable/internet going down until around 11, now we just had the power flick off and on. I'm thinking this would have been a good day to go IN to work.

I took the younglings to see Wall-e with T and C (forget how to spell their screen names  ) and their younglings, and the movie itself wasn't too bad. However, I ended up covered in soda from Mr. Bug somehow pushing it out of the cupholder, which also got my purse, diaperbag, and his monkey leash. Then I went to stand on the edge because it was after his nap time, and I think I stood there for at least half an hour holding a squirmy bug who would alternate between trying to arch himself out of my arms and snuggling up to me and being all cute. As a result, my hands and arms are now shaking because he weighs over 20 pounds. As we walked out, they were making comments about how I looked like I'd been through heck since my hair was all over the place (thanks to grabby hands trying to get away) and I probably had the look of utter exhaustion.
So today I learned: no taking Mr. Bug to movies A) during his nap time and B) without parental back up.
He actually did watch a lot of it, when he wasn't making messes, throwing his cup, throwing fits, or trying to escape. 
I don't feel as bad as I might for him making so much noise since it was a matinee with other kids, and the lady behind me had her cell phone ring at least twice during the movie.

I took JBean to see WallE yesterday. I liked what I saw. I had two back up grownups, which was a big help. We blocked her in one row at least. But I feel your sticky pain. I couldnt keep JB off of the floor. Every once in a while she would crawl up on my lap and share her soda with me.
But all in all I did like the movie...it was cute.

From upstairs I'm hearing "I love trash...." being sung by Oscar the Grouch. And punctuated with thumps of something hitting something else. But they are both being quiet, so I'm giving it a few more minutes before I investigate and have to tell them not to do whatever it is they are doing and they go back to annoying each other.

My offspring is devouring her very first Kid Cuisine tv dinner. True she ate the pudding first, but she is also nibbling the corn and pizza. I am so proud of her.

yes, they thought I was crazy, and since they have NO idea what could be doing it on my car that has only 1,600 miles, I have to take it to them on wednesday when it will be frikkin' hot and they will leave it to bake in the sun and hopefully make the noise.

I am supposed to be finishing the chapter in my book on WWII, but that crap is so darned depressing that I dont want to. I am tempted to skip this chapters assignment and hope my prof doesnt notice.

I have had a very strange day. I feel like something huge is about to happen, but I can't tell if it is good or bad. I don't feel frightened, persay...just a bit anxious. My mom thinks its the weather.

I woke up at 5 am for some reason, then within a minute of being awake, I had a super foot cramp. It wasn't even a charlie horse, it was on the outside of my leg all the way to my middle toe. I writhed around in pain, trying to stretch it and massage it, but nothing helped. I even tried to 'walk' it out, but my foot wouldn't go flat on the floor. It finally stopped, but now the nail on my toe is sore and I can feel the memory of the pain in my leg and foot still... at least I got back to sleep after that, but it may be a coffee morning, if I can make myself walk upstairs.
