So... Hiro didn't break history, then. He just played right into it. 
West needs to be shot. At this point I'm not even sure if it's the character or the actor anymore - all I know is that he's f*ing annoying. Of course, since the actor brings the character to life, I'll be avoiding anything else where he's involved. I'll deal with this show for now, cuz the rest is still good.
Overall, great episode! I enjoyed the Star Wars homage, too, except I kept thinking Anakin/Obi-Wan in Episode III. But, yeah, the "I have faith in you!" stuff couldn't be ignored. That was completely ROTJ.

The writer's strike has me concerned and I hope it doesn't affect the show too much.

Um, I'm ready for some conflict and confrontation. I'm sick of the O.C aspects to this whole Claire romance. I get that she's a teenager and wants to be herself, but Clark Kent-lookalike over there was nothing but trouble. Shoulda' seen that one coming a mile away...if you look up.
The best parts of the new season:
-Hiro's adventures in Japan.
-Ando's reading of Hiro's adventures in Japan.
-The deaths of the "old guard" and figuring out who's stalking them.
-HRG's intense shot to the head (giving, not getting...yet)
-Kensei went from Japan's savior/hero/supergood-guy to the World-destroying/Hiro-torturing/Peter-brainwashing bad guy. Excellent choice.
Worst parts:
-Claire's romance
-Parkman's whining
-Molly's one line of dialogue repeated 10 different ways
-Lack of exploring the My Two Dads aspect of Parkman and Suresh (a goldmine of humor & dramatic possibilities wasted!)'
-Maya and Alejandro - nuff said
At least they're changing things up for this new chapter/direction next week.

One of the guys in the Art Dept was telling about a Tim Kring interview where he apologized for the turn out so far of the second season and that the writers strike may close down the show after the next 3 episodes. He said he wanted to start the season with Peter already in the future but took too much time building up towards it. There was a 15% drop in the show's ratings but the biggest kicker for me was that Tim admitted he should have never brought the romance plotline into the story for Claire!

It was cool to read that Kring will be getting rid of some of the new characters. Given the majority of reactions to West, I'm betting he's one of 'em. YAY!!!
Monica - I like her. She's been underused so far, but her character has great potential.
West - die.
Maya and Alejandro - could be REALLY cool, but so far haven't been... and that sucks. At least they're finally across the border. But Sylar will probably kill 'em.
Molly - okay, not really new, but kinda is. Has gotten SO little real screen time that it's sad. She's ALWAYS ASLEEP, or in bed. GAH! It drives me crazy!
Takezo Kensei/Adam - has uber super-badguy possibilities now, and that's awesome. I'm betting he stays.
Maury (Matt's dad) - eh. so don't care.
Caitlin - new un-powered character to stay? I actually like her. She's a good balance for Peter.
Elle - haven't seen enough of her to think one way or the other.

agreed maya and alejandro need to GO AWAY! it looks like elle is that one guys daughter...oh what his name the one in charge of the company.
I have a feeling that kensei's charater is immortal. i wonder if he i was like the 'father' of the genetic code change. maybe they need to chop off his head. *insert queen music*

I Really liked last night's episode. I'm glad that DL had his 'moment' to make his son really proud of him. And after seeing the backstory of the twins, I almost can stand them now. And YAY, no emo-tard!

Great Episode yet again last night!
However...
I am very, very disappointed in Mohinder!
I am very, very disappointed in Parkman!
I like both these characters and I don't agree with their choices at all but it does lead me to believe that their future selves from season 1 happen no matter what the timeline is.
I loved the last conversation between Hiro and His Father. Very Moving! ...and proves yet again that Comics time dispalcement is not affected by the rule of Star Trek or Back to the Future!
I didn't really figure out Adam as the Killer by seeing his face up close but actually after Ando began to reach out as Hiro stopped time and all I heard in my mind was Kensei saying "I will destroy all you hold dear"!
I think this is the turning point for Hiro and it will harden Him and also to carry serious guilt for the realization that if he hadn't altered time, that His Father may have lived.
I loved Elle being watered down. That was brilliant on Noah's part. I hated to see his demise but felt much better that he survives. I felt terrible for Claire but she will see him again.
However, being brought back by the fellows you are trying to destroy is going to be interesting to watch!
...I love this show and the comics that helped inspire it!

Did anybody else find it a little too convenient that West jumped right on board with Noah's plan? Maybe not, I know he's twitter-patted with Claire and all and that is first in his mind no doubt.
I always watch the previous week's episode right before the new one. It helps put some pieces together that I missed the first go-around.
