around town invite thread

Ok well I don't actually *live* in denver, but there's lots of stuff going on there (at least it seems that way).
So I thought maybe an invite thread for events around town would be cool, for concerts, shows, etc.
Anyhow, Nick Swardson - really funny comedian - is going to be at the Paramount Theater on the 18th, and tickets are right around 30 bucks. Anyone wanna go with me?

The Great American Beer Festival is going to be October 11-13 of this year.
I'm a total beer snob and I've wanted to go to gabf for years.

i don't like beer....there needs to be a scotch or whiskey con....did you know that irish whiskey is spelled with an 'E' any other is without the 'E'...

Right, so. I'm heading downtown to celebrate my birthday (  I guess... if I have to...) along with the Fenster. I have no idea what I'm doing yet, other than a late dinner after she gets out of work (around 730ish or 8), and possibly a movie later on (for those that stay up for no reason whatsoever... probably Ratatouille). This'll be the first celebration of my birthday since... well, since I was a kid. There may have been something for my 17th, but it wasn't really on my birthday or anything. So, who's interested?
EDIT: Looks like we're heading to the Wazee Supper Club at 15th and Wazee with parking "behind the warehouse southwest of 15th and Wynkoop" (according to Zoo). Reports indicate it's good for groups and general merriment.
