And that I'm hot. I always knew that I radiated most of my body heat, but I had no idea that I'm that hot. Don't you wish you were hot like me?

...that although I'm the cause of Global Warming, because George Bush has never met me, he still doesn't believe I (and therefore global warming) exist. Recently, he's retracted some of his previous statements and allowed for the possibility of my existence.
I still claim that I cannot possibly exist because I have no life.

...that Picasa has a few quirks.
One being that I can't link directly to an image without it wanting to force my image editor open so I can view stuff. Meh. I can live with it. I imagine most normal people probably look at the album as a whole, I guess?
Anyhoo, I uploaded a couple pics of the house. Ever since the Hailstorm of Doom (tm) last year, we've been waiting on having the house painted. They put up a new roof in November, but they won't be able to paint until April. That should be when I have the rest of the fence done, and should be full swing in dropping Agent Orange all over the yard to kill the remaining clover and weeds from the previous owner.
I've already warned my old-people neighbors that our yard will look like **** **** for a couple of months. They're cool with it.
And then, I will begin the long and painful task of putting real grass back in. Urgh.

If you're going to put down seed for grass, make sure you don't get a cheaper grass product. They tend to include clover seed as a filler, and then you're back where you are now.

My suggestion... Till up all the ground, lay down a 2-3 inch layer of good soil (blend of top soil and manure is best 3-4 inches) and use a certified blast of Buffalo Grass seed. It takes some substantial water to get that stuff rooted, but it uses less than half the water of any of the other grasses, often is not the source of an allergy, and requires less mowing because you are supposed to keep it just a bit longer for water retention. It provides a THICK pile of grass, and is more durable, weed resistent and water wise than anything else.
Downside, it is an investment to get it going. And some homeowner's associations STILL refuse to allow it, because you do keep it 4 inches tall, and often not available as a sod because of the root system.

That sounds like the stuff we eat at my house. My mom's severely allergic to wheat/gluten, so we get all sorts of unique foods. Thanksgiving and Christmas are especially interesting.
So, today I learned that when removing countertops, it's best to supervise Dad and keep the band-aids and ice really handy.
And that finding any articles NOT on Scorpio Rising when searching for Kenneth Anger's films is really, really difficult. Has anyone written on Eaux d'Artifice? Nooooo...

US 6 just across the border in Utard is known as the "Grand Army of the Republic Highway." Who DIDN'T think of the Clone Wars when that came up? Right, then, off you go.
Outside of Grand Junction, there is a McInnis Canyon.
And... apparently, I know more about finding my way around Utard than I realized.
