...that even though stuffed animals say 'surface wash only', they survived 2 wash cycles with hot water and a dryer cycle. And they aren't even lumpy. Well, grover was lumpy to begin with. 
Not that I plan on washing them all the time or anything...

...that I have somewhat of a roommate living, not inside the house but rather underneath the house. I noticed a couple weeks ago that there was some dirt throw about near the front stoop of the door leading into the house but didn't really pay it much mind and this morning when I looked out the window, I saw a small ground squirrel sitting in the grass collecting bits of grass blades in his mouth and then he would perk up and look around as if quite alert to his surroundings and then he scurried underneath the stoop and then he popped back out, stood up, made sure the coast was clear and then gathered more grass and kept repeating this. I watched for a little while and smiled. He was so cute.
He can stay.

... that I have yet another roommate hangin' around underneath, only this time he wasn't so shy as I came home and there was a 6 ft Bull Snake coiled up and slithering on my doorstep.
I hate snakes! Why does it have to be snakes!!! 
He and I had a close and personal interaction as I shooed him off the doorstep. Quite the hisser when you piss them off. 
I'm fairly certain that he evicted my other roommate in the form of consumption.
