Well the hand book says this:
Our FanForce is run by a voluntary group of officers, including our City Representative (who reports directly to the Southwest Regional Support Administrator)(And the other guy), a Co-City Rep, a Secretary/Historian, Treasurer & a Webmaster. Be warned, the CR will be calling on the members and other officers to chip on the planning and execution of any and all events. These are volunteer positions, so try to lend a hand whenever necessary. We hold elections every six months to make sure that everyone is not only happy with the leadership, but that no one gets burnt out being the leader. Those elections are held every March and October at our regular general monthly meeting.
It hasn't worked this way for years. We did start the last election process in October, just didn't get completed until Jan. So we are 'technically' 2 months behind on this election process.
Maybe we should talk about this at the meeting?

Yeah, but last year the positions were annual. We didn't elect new officers last year. Why the sudden interest in electing people in June this year?

#1 I was just making sure we (I) was following rules & wasn't looking like a dictator.
#2 I didn't want the thread to get locked becuase I thought elections were coming up soon.
#3 I didn't know we moved it to yearly. Maybe you do because you were Sec. but then the rulebook should have been changed too and it wasn't.

We trust you, SC. 'sides, we had elections in December and with only one nominee per post, there was no point in voting. I didn't know we'd moved it to yearly--I just thought it was always that way until you dug up that old fossil. The year that I had office, we didn't do mid-year elections.
