I beg to disagree...on a technicality...
I was 5'10" in 7th grade and there was only one boy taller than me. It was the bane of my existence at that time. I think they should qualify that tall girls in Junior High suffer from extreme jealousy of cute short girls.
...and still do sometimes to this day...
I don't think it's quite as bad as you get older.

In Jr. High and highschool, I wanted to be shorter. "Petite" is more correct. I thought that guys liked shorter girls. My grandmother was about 5' tall and I thought she was very lady-like and femine. Although I sometimes feel like a GIANT, I have several female friends and relatives that are taller than me that make me feel short.

Yeah, that's new to me. But...everyone in P-town is 5'8". I didn't start seeing much taller people until college, and by then the only things I ever thought about "tall" people were:
"How does he find pants his size? The rack only goes up to 36/34."
"He eats too much."
"Ha ha. He bumped his head on the overhang in our basement again."

Drove by a possible rental house this afternoon. Not exactly what I was looking for, but cute with a deck right over a small creek. I'm going to make an appt to see the inside and if it's ok, apply for it. It looks like a 20-25min commute to work. I'll still keep an eye out for a house to buy, but I have a feeling it will take a long time and I'd rather be out in my own place in the meantime. (Course, the last time I found a place I liked and applied to rent, I didn't get it, so I don't want to jinx myself.)

I had to wear an evening gown and heels for about 7 hours but we raised about $10,000 for our homeless shelter so I can't complain. In addition to that we had a dentist donate $2000 for new beds for our "guests" - it was cool!
So I crawled into bed at 2am and had to wake up at 6am to see if I sounded like a dork on the radio...and I have to say that it wasn't all that bad. I only did my stupid "giggle" laugh once. And those of you that know me know that stupid laugh. So hopefully the half hour interview will bring in some donations...but I don't really think anyone listens to the radio at 6am on a Sunday...
Then we went to Dave and Busters in Westminster for a birthday party. It was fun but I have to say...
I AM TIRED!!!
So good night.

there was an RFID tag in the thing they put on sarah's umbilical stump, they said that if anyone took her off the floor, via elevator or stairwell alarms would sound, doors would lock and elevators would freeze.

they had little 'wanderguard' bracelets at the nursing home I worked at, when a resident with one on went near a door it would lock down. great for making sure alzheimers patients were safe - they could still wander in main areas, but couldn't get to places that could be a danger.

Not that I read mens health, but there's an interesting article about the top drunkest cities in the US.
drunkest cities
I find it amusing that the only two states I've lived in have the top three cities.
