lolz. I'd prefer C5 in 2010, anyway. Celebrate the anniversary one of the good (I say the best) Star Wars movies rather than re-Celebrating that other one.

I doubt we'll hear for a couple more months. From what i saw on the 501st and RL boards, they haven't even really been looking... yet. We can hope, and speculate, but won't really know for some time. That's my guess.

If they have it next year, I won't be able to handle the walking... And if they have it in 2010, I'll dealing with pre-op therapy/surgery/recovery. Only reason I can handle D*Con is because they let me use the special passages between hotels.

hhhm...after fifteen minutes of half arsed searching, I note that only one hotel is connected to the convention center in chicago and it has only 800 rooms. The nearest unconnected hotel has 11 rooms and is a half mile away. It just gets worse from there.

That was until they spent 6 weeks on the news with a rash of killings and tourist incidents. Final decision still remains to be seen. I know that several con centers have their fingers crossed for the final word. But I serioulsy doubt anything will be announced until a deal has been inked; lessons learned from CIV & CE

According to an interview with Steve Sansweet that was played/quoted on the Forcecast (theforce.net's SW podcast) July 11, 2008 episode at about 58:15, they won't start making that decision until after SD Comic-con. "We need a partner...a date (2009 or 2010), and then a city. In that order. As soon as we have something specific, we'll let the fans know."
The cities that Sansweet mentions are: "Chicago, Baltimore, Minneapolis, Orlando, Indianapolis."
So, feel free to hypothesize and guess and contact your well-placed sources, but I trust the man who's title is Head of Fan Relations.
