darth_hair posted: so a hard mask over a latex one? it would be a full head shell. its gonna have to be big either way so when i sculpt it i will try not to destroy it so in case i want to try both versions i can
i would be willing to shave my sweet chest rug off for this
lets see, my schedule for the next year is gonna be work out, sculpt, work out, sculpt, work out, sculpt, work out, sculpt, rinse and repeat
I can't think of anyone else who'd be able to pull this off as well. (no pun intended) And being Destro means you get to fool around with Baroness... Oh wait, you already do.

I am still not sure which Cobra Commander I should do. The one with the helmet of the cloth mask.
I am not sure how you would go about making the front part of the helmet that you see out of. It is so reflective, do they sell a type of plastic that would work?

Do they sell the plastic they use for the security bubbles? And is the reflective stuff part of the plastic, or a film that goes over clear plastic?

one of my science fair projects in middle school had to do with the sun and glass and window tint. There is a window tint that is mirrored on one side and you can see out of the other. I've thought about getting it for our front door, but it would blind anyone who came to our house in daylight.

Obey Wann found a place that will tint plastic for you (i.e. his clone trooper helmet visor). You could get a sheet done, and then depending on what you had to form, cut it out and piece it together with superglue.
Pretty touchy technique, but it could work.

I got a face shield from Home Depot, then took it to a local tint shop. $20 and I'm good to go. It looks awesome, and was a relatively simple solution.
I think that the mirrored face option is much better than the hood, but that's me.

I don't think that it will be all that hard to make. But I have never made a helmet before. What do you think Jeff?

After careful consideration and realization that I probably couldn't grow a good enough beard, I have decided to be LowLight. Anyone know where I can find some pics from the comics?

DH can do that too, not an entire sheet but each piece as you need it done. Now we are talking 'color' blue, yellow, pink, etc. I have a purple X-Wing Pilot lens
Shane, you might want to talk to DH. I hate to slave him out like that, but what can I say, he is great.
