Most of them can be bought as used airsofts and military surplus stuffs

I think airsoft is by far the cheapest & easiest route.

I stumbled on some excellent fan art that I am combining with the photo you posted, as well as some actual art from later comics. What I think will be the hardest thing for me is figuring out how to make that trademark power javelin. (Edited to say: I am planning on purchasing the 25th Anniversary Lady Jaye action figure to have a template for the weapon...)

oh, and I am not wearing the hat. There are versions of her with slightly longer hair...my plan is to take in a pic before the con and have them match it. I am going all out for this one.

I have no doubt that better will be done... None at all!
Mistress, OD/Green Flight suit (with the top altered for curves), brown/khaki Alice Pack harness, sidearm holster & belt, black combat boots, black leather driving gloves, black ball cap, crossbow with scope & strap, pistol, and if you go all out a modified fake uzi with RPG and Laser Pike on the ends for the power javelin.

That strappy thing is called an Alice Pack harness? Awesome, Zoo. You dah bomb, yo. Now when I hit the army surplus store I can call it by name instead of strappy brown thingy.
