Here are the themes for all the different weekends! I am unfortunately unable to work this summer (so sad!) but I have a free pass for any weekend I am up to showing up (yay!) so if I am up for it I will try to go with ya'll
Here are the themes for each weekend:
OPENING WEEKEND "ADVENTURE to the Past" June 14 & 15
Fathers Day!
Our 32nd annual celebration will be an "Adventure to the Past!" The Festival will celebrate the opening weekend with its annual "Buy One get One Free" offer Opening Weekend Only! And the ever popular King for a Day contest! Yes, it’s Fathers day make Dad feel like a King. Plus, experience the thrill of all our New Entertainment and revisit the old Favorites. The Colorado Renaissance Festival "Truly Fun for Everyone!"
ROYAL ALE FESTIVAL! June 21 & 22
Military Appreciation Weekend
A variety of ale, stout, and lager beer will be on tap for Free Sampling at the Dancing Bear Pub. Join us at the "Ode to Ale" Toasting Contest, as well as, the "Best Man in Tights" Contest. Attend the "Wooing Contest" this weekend on the Rose Stage. This Weekend Only! All Military personal receive a buy 1 get 1 free w/Military I.D. plus there kids are free.
CELTIC FLING! June 28 & 29
Come join us in a Celebration of Music & Dance. Celtic Musicians, Madrigal Singers, along with special Belly Dancers & Irish Dance Groups, Musicians and Pipe Bands will be featured throughout the Realm this weekend. Don Ye Kilts for the "Men in Kilts" contest. Join in the Fun of our 5th Annual Fiddlers Contest.
CHILDREN'S WEEKEND! July 5 & 6
Prince, Princess & Pirate Party
Special activities for the young ones; Prince, Princess and Pirate Costume Contest at the Puke & Snot pirate ship stage. Participate in the Royal Quest; be rewarded by King Henry at the Knighting Ceremonies, daily at the Rose Stage. Enjoy the Free Children’s Realm and Petting Zoo. FOR THIS WEEKEND ONLY, CHILDREN TWELVE AND UNDER EXPERIENCE THE FESTIVAL FOR FREE WITH A PAYING ADULT. HUZZAH!!!
WINE REVELRY! July 12 & 13
"Good wine is familiar creature if it be used well". (Othello by William Shakespeare) For this weekend dedicated to "The Nectar of the Gods" we intend to use it very well indeed. Participate in the legendary Grape Stomp Competitions for prizes, as well as Free Sampling of some of the finest vintages from around the country at the Dancing Bear Pub.

Romancing the Throne
Join our romantic rogues and fair maidens, as we create a special atmosphere for a weekend dedicated to lovers. Attend "Forever Real" Royal Wedding Ceremonies on the Rose Stage both Saturday and Sunday. "Renewal of Vows", bring your cherished one to a special gathering and renew your vows of faith, commitment, and love on this most romantic of weekends. ROMANCE IS IN THE AIR! A Raucous Celebration and Beads Galore! Mardi Gras today is about the Celebration of life, laughter, music, and dance. Join us in the Fun. Don your favorite mask and costume and let the "Ye Olde Good Times Roll" Mardi Gras Style. Participate in our Nobility Fashion show!

A Final Huzzah… We invite one and all to join King Henry for his 517th Birthday Party. It’s a weekend filled with, frivolities, and frolicking that is truly fit for the King. Bid farewell, good cheer, and happy travels to all of your Festival Favorites, the Musicians Most Merry, the Entertainers Most Marvelous, the Pirates Most Adventurous and the Craft Artisans Most Wondrous! It will be a Festive conclusion to this our 32nd Anniversary Season!

both the ale and celtic weekends sound like fun. i would be down to go on either/both (maybe) days. with my work schedule I could possibly swing a saturday, but it would be so much easier for a sunday.
