He was an Avenger way back in the 60s when Bruce Banner could temporarily control the Hulk. But it seems like this incarnation is good ol' "Hulk smash!"
I imagine that the Hulk will be a part of the Avengers movie in some form, but probably not as a member of the team. I bet that the Captain America movie will be an origin movie and not include the Hulk.
However,

Iron Man makes a cameo in the new Hulk movie.

NOW i want to go see it. I really want to see Ironman again...it was really well done.
I would say probably in the top 5 superhero movies. I realllly loved X-men and X-2, X-3 ehh, not so much. 
My Top 5 (in no particular order)
Spiderman 2
Ironman
X-men (1 & 2)
Batman Begins
Superman Returns (i really liked it) *shrug*
Most horrible Superhero movies
The Hulk
Fantastic Four

The Hulk and Batman and Robin are the worst superhero movies I can think of at the moment.
I guess if the Hulk has a very minor role I won't mind. I just hated the first Hulk film and I'm not exactly going to rush out to see the new one.
