Hey Kids!
I thought it might be interesting to see what is going to be planned for your stimulus check.
here is the schedule.
IRS Announces Tax Rebate Schedule, Calculator
The IRS has announced that it will start sending the economic stimulus tax rebate checks starting on May 2, with the first round of weekly payments to be completed by early July. In addition, the IRS has launched an Online Tax Rebate Calculator to help people determine the amount of their rebate check.
Rebate check direct deposit or mailings will be made according to the last two digits of your Social Security numbers as follows:
Direct Deposit: Depending on the last two numbers of your Social Security Number, your rebate should be deposited by:
00-20: May 2
21-75: May 9
76-99: May 16
By Mail: Depending on the last two numbers of your Social Security Number, your rebate check should be mailed by:
00-09: May 16
10-18: May 23
19-25: May 30
26-38: June 6
39-51: June 13
52-63: June 20
64-75: June 27
76-87: July 4
88-99: July 11

I'm looking forward to getting this by the end of May. It'll be slightly less than $600 and will not be for anything fun. It is to pay for the dent in my driver's side door that I got last July at open cockpit. I blew a good chunk of the original insurance payment in Germany.

I think it's based on however you filed your taxes. If you did them and got DD, then that's how the stimulus comes. If you got a paper check, then that's how your stimulus comes.

It's based on how you are getting your refund, or how you paid, either way it's based on your tax return preference.

Did you use direct deposit on your 2007 tax return? If so, it will come the same way. Otherwise, you have to wait for a paper check.

FYI, they're starting a bit early. The Direct Deposits will start next week and I think they're trying to get ALL of them done by Wednesday, then moving onto the checks. So might come earlier than expected.

The Manmeat and I are taking 1/2 of each and buying a laptop to take to conventions so we can download pictures right away and surf the 'net on our downtime (and small games, and my LiveJournaling, his writing... etc...)
The other 1/2 of mine is paying bills, the the other 1/2 of his is going into savings.
