That's all you have to say about the film Nnay?
Wellllll I liked it! If you like Indiana Jones and you love what it is, you'll enjoy it in the same entertaining way you did the others. Though the first is still the best!
It was refreshing to see Harrison going back to playing a simple, fun character with humorous adventures.

Indiana Jones! Woohoo! But...
It's obvious from the start that this isn't a 1980's adventure film. While it pains me to think that even the dynamic duo of Spielberg and Lucas has gone the way of most of Hollywood and sacrificed story for fast-paced action, it's not like I didn't see this coming. This film is very different from the previous three in that the characters and plot don't have enough time to sink in before the next action sequence. What was great about the first three was that the plot really sunk in early on and put you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what was in store for Indy and his companions. With this film, it really seemed more like an afterthought amidst all the high-speed chases and gunfire. Instead of thinking "Oh man, I wonder what the ark will do when they find it!" or "woah, what's going on at Pankot Palace?!" I was trying to figure out why a dead alien and psychic powers had anything to do with missing people in Peru.
My other gripe is that this had to be a sci-fi film. Not that a story about an ancient civilization influenced by aliens isn't cool, but to me, flying saucers and Indiana Jones just don't belong in the same film. I would have been much happier if they had not shown the alien and the space ship at the end and left it up to the audience's imagination. All in all, it's a decent popcorn flick, but it won't sit on the shelf alongside my original Indy trilogy.
