Today, Linda brought Eric over to the Adams County foster HQ, so he could have visitation time with mom.
We found out that the court/adoption process is moving forward for him and that he will have a permanent home in anywhere from 2-4 weeks.

ooooooo, good news. We got the Baby Doc to say it was okay to bring Eric to the RMFF meeting. Well, I had to give her $20, a neck massage, and perform a demonstration of my Sling-of-Fortitude. Just picture me, tucking the baby into the carrying sling, and then infomercial-style saying, "But wait, there's more!" and sinching the sling down until it becomes an enclosed pod with breathing motions. But here's the deal: no touchy  . hmmm, surely someone has invented a periscope with image projector for such an occasion.

Complete stranger here...I stumbled upon this thread searching for Brian's contact info.
Anyway, hthornto, you and yours are fabulous! I wish you the best and you are making a huge positive difference and deserve more accolades. My own 2cents is I love the target brand NB diapers. They seem to be phasing them out so they are often found for under $3/40 in the clearance areas.

That's funny that you should mention that, Target is where we went the first night they had Eric. I found those phased out NB diapers on sale on an endcap and we bought all the ones they had, it was extremely timely.
BTW, you're not a stranger here (some of us remember meeting you at Celebrations and DragonCons) , we just haven't seen you in a while

That is so great what you guys are doing! We will have to have a play date! He is very cute and small but is a good size for being 2 weeks early. If you are up for 2am feedings give me a call I'm sure we will be up too.
