Some of you may know about this already... indeed I've mentioned parts in passing in a few threads. The Jedi Music Television project I'm working on for Starfest 2010 includes a music video of Tuskens performing and dancing to Jump Around (with some lyric tweaks and ommissions for time).
I'm currently talking to the cultural affairs office who manages Red Rocks amphitheatre and park about filming it up there. The amphitheatre isn't looking too good because of booked events, but I'm sure there are other locations available in the park.
So here's the root of why I'm posting I need to recruit as many tuskens as possible to be in the audience and at least one or two to perform the song itself. I was thinking film in August as it'll look the most dessert-like up there, but Nigel pointed out how hot the costumes are and it got me to thinking of some options.
If we can get some good takes this could take as little as an hour or up to 3 probably. So my current concept is to set up some Tiki torches and then have some can lights set up to illuminate the cast and film it in early evening.
Another option because weather can be fickle... aim for an initial film date somewhere around the end of June with a backup day or two in August? Maybe push it as far as early October but the we're risking having snow on the ground and that simply doesn't fit with Tatooine.
Please let me know if you're interested and what filming date(s) work(s) for you so I can figure out the details with the Cultural Affairs office appropriately.

October at Red Rocks... Little chance for snow, maximum chance for no green anywhere. And the weather would be more conducive for cast.
