I have to admit, the idea of a 'populist order' fills me with a glee that produces neigh maniacal laughter in me. Particularlly since the Solo's are practically Jedi royalty, seeing Zekk focusing on being a Jedi 'of the people' would be fabulous. There would be lots of opertunity for conflict and iconic heros. It would be Star Wars gold.
Of course, I think this is such a great idea, I know it will never be.

Of course, I think this is such a great idea, I know it will never be.
It's diffently a great idea and since it's a great Idea....they won't do it......Orginally I was hoping Jacen would have created a grey order but nope...they made him sith (which wouldn't be bad if they let him think instead of removing his brain.) Zekk would make a great new jedi leader but what would he call this new group of jedi? Twilight Knights?

Eh, maybe Jaina will fail horribly and Zekk will have to come to her rescue yet again, killing Sithy Boy in the process.

You know in the cantina, when Obi-Wan dismembers those two guys with a draw strike, and a single sweep; that's exactly how I would see Zekk doing it. No poses, no flashy flips and no absurdly long duel. They'd stand toe to toe, Jacen would stand to ready, and Zekk would kill as he drew his saber, catching Jacen off guard and ending the fight before they ever crossed blades.
Obi-Wan in ANH is probably the most lethal we ever see a Jedi, he moves directly to where he wants to be, without posturing. That is a Jedi who has learned to be a survivor. Conversly, Zekk is a survivor who has learned to be a Jedi.

Sadly, the chances of that happening are pretty slim. Still, it would be interesting to say the least.

I think Zekk just needs to leave the jedi order...before the authors kill him. At the rate there going all the new characters from YJK and NJO will be dead before the end of the NEXT serries.

As much as I hate to say this, I fear that it may very well be true. I mean, why bother with building up the next generation of Star Wars heroes when you can just kill them all and make Luke, Han and Leia save the day over and over again?! (Yes, I was obviously being sarcastic.)
Well, think of it this way: Troy Denning likes Zekk, so he probably won't kill him in any of his books. Face it, Karen Traviss does not think too highly of Jedi, so should we be surprised that she killed off Mara in her book? I don't think so.
Make our boy Zekk someone that we can be proud of, Troy!

Well honestly I don't mind them killing new characters just as long as they kill old ones as well. Let's face it death will happen but let's at lest try to keep a few good hero's/ characters alive with out having them all become dark jedi/sith.

Okay I'll try to breathe some life into this thread.
If anyone has been into the lit thread, there has been a thread created about how Zekk might become the next sith.
Normally i have an intense dislike to the idea that Zekk would just turn his back on everything he has beleived in. However, the tassels prophecy from the book Betrayal recently caught my eye, and with the right interpretation, it could be about Zekk.
So here is the prophecy and my vision of how Zekk might fit it.
He will remake/rename himself: Okay, Zekk has gone from Ennth kid, to vent crawler, to darkest knight, to jedi, to joiner and back to Jedi, I think this one is coverd.
He will ruin those who deny justice: In a way this could be his conflict with Jacen, and his faction right now.
He will choose the fate of the weak: This has not happened yet, but Zekk is one of the more sympathetic Jedi as seen in Tempest, so he could be a leader for weaker people.
He will immortalize his love: I don't know about this one, but it will involve Jaina.
He will choose how he will be loved: Again hard to say, but it might involve a conflict with Jaina and her treatment of him.
He will win and break his chains: In alot of ways Zekk has done this already as his return to the darkside could be his chains being broken.
He will shed his skin and choose a new skin: Zekk has always been good at creating new identities?
He will strengthen himself through sacrifice: Zekk has lost everything and has sacrificed much as a Jedi.
He will crawl through his cloak: I have no idea about this one, maybe he makes a fort out of his cloak sometime?
He will know brotherhood: Jacen was like a brother, and Jag is a close friend.
He will make a pet: Zekk might have an apprentice at some point.
He will strengthen himself through pain: See ennth Coruscant, and Shadow Academy, Zekk has overcome great pain and loss.
He will be drawn from peace into conflict: Zekk is pulled from the light in order to fight Jacen and Alema
So this is not perfect, but Zekk does manage to fit the criteria of this prophecy in some ways. In alot of ways he would be a great person to be a sith, as his turning would be a great loss and failure for the Jedi. However, he is still treated like a minor character so this will likely not be the case.
However, what do you guys think? Jedi or Sith what should Zekk be in Canonn

Well, it's an interesting idea. Personally, though, I don't think canon could make Zekk Sith without going against everything that makes him who he is. (I realize the same could have been said about Jacen once, but his transition also took many books, and it's still controversial.) As you mentioned, Zekk has already been dark once--and he's spent his entire life since trying to make up for it. His relentless quest for absolution defines him, and he won't allow himself to touch even a hint of the dark side lest he be tempted again. You can also infer pretty easily that he isn't even reaching his full power as a light side Jedi because he's afraid he'll go too far. He has very strong convictions about right and wrong, and he's very dedicated to obeying them.
All that said, if Zekk ever went dark again for any reason, I think it's a given that it would involve Jaina somehow. He admits that she could make him go dark again in Dark Journey, and there's also Fury, although the latter cost him a lot and was doubtless added to his list of "Things I Can Never Forgive Myself For."
So yeah...I don't really think Zekk would ever go dark again unless he was written very out-of-character, but differing opinions make discussions interesting, no?

Emerald, it's Del Rey. They thrive on mischaracterization.
Zekk's future is... very dark, indeed.

I'm hoping that Zekk remains a good guy. To see him go dark would make me very sad indeed.
But for the record: I am not surprised that the "love" things on the tassels would have to do with Jaina.
