Welcome to the Light Side (and to our new thead)!  I'm Malz, one of the Masters here. In celebration of our new begginning and reforms, we've decided to make all new Temple threads!  The Light Side changing for the better, reforming some things that have made us lose our focus. So here's to our new thread and our new begginning!
The first few posts will have all the important information - our Mission Statement, information on how you can apply and what happens after you do, the current Membership List, important links, and Responsibilities of each rank in our order.
The Lightside of the Force
Mission Statement
The mission of the Light Side Jedi Order is to:
- Combat trolls, flaming, and spamming
- Defend the boards and all members of the JC/TF.N from any sort of attack
- Improve the quality of posting on the JC
The Lightside Code
- I shall not spam nor troll
- I shall respect someone else and his/her opinion
- I shall respect the admins and the rules of the JC
- I shall use humor when things start looking nasty
I want to join! What do I do?
*You must have 150 posts or more to apply to the Lightside. Do not flame, troll, or spam to get these posts.
*To apply, post one (choose one) of the following in any of the Lightside threads (note: copy and paste works wonders here):

You also need to PM a current Master (a member will direct you to an active Master once you post your application) to let them know why you’d like to join.
*After you have applied, a Master will do a background check on you. This is a simple check to make sure you are not breaking any of the JC rules, that you are not a troll, flamer, etc., that you contribute readily to threads, not just posting short, few word responses, and various other things that most users should have no problem with. It will also include a little correspondence between the Master and the person being checked, for various purposes. The check should take about a week at most.
*Once your background check is complete, you will receive notification via private message, and, granted that you are accepted, an announcement will be posted in all the Lightside Temples here at the JC.
*If you have any questions, send a private message to a current Master (or Knight) and they will be able to help you out.

- Supporting everyone within the Lightside

- Initiate Applications Back Up

- Adopt/Welcome Newbies and Initiates
- Set Good Example/Family Environment for LS and JC
Jedi Knights:
- Training Padawans
- Patrolling areas
- Taking and Setting up Classes/Majors
- Adopt/Welcome Newbies and Initiates
- Set Good Example/Family Environment for LS and JC
Padawans/Younglings:
- Accomplish ALL missions/lessons
- Adopt a Newbie
- (Master) Patrol/Complete Missions/lessons

What was the first EU book you read? ?:|
The very first one I read was The Rising Force, a Jedi Apprentice book, but the first actual novel I read was Dark Force Rising

To be honest, I think the first EU book I read had to be Rogue Planet.......wasn't the best book, but certainly enough to get me into other Star Wars EU books like the NJO.

I think that my first novel was Planet of Twilight, as far as I know. Or maybe it was Vector Prime. I'm not sure. Actually, maybe it was the same as yours, Malz: The Rising Force. Now that was a good book.

the reason is we want our members to have 150 posts first, so they can get a little more familiar with the boards. We help people, fight on those who have trouble defending themselves from trolls, flammers and bashers. We want our members to know how the boards work so they can answer questions others have. We welcome newbies and adopt newbies, show them around. Thats why you need a certain amount of posts before you can be considered joining.

The first EU novel I read (if I'm remembering correctly) was the second novel in the KJA Jedi Academy series (Dark Apprentice? I'm not sure of the title).
I'll add another question for people to answer:
