I checked with Genghis1, who said that there was no official Ackbar fan club.
This thread is devoted to one of the greatest heroes of the Rebellion and New Republic- the Mon Calamari known as Ackbar.
I figured that it was time that we had a thread for Ackbar. Ackbar was the leader of the Rebellion, commander of the Rebel fleet, and eventually the Supreme Commander of the New Republic Defense Force, a post he held for almost 20 years.
Sadly, Admiral Ackbar has finally passed on, after long, distinguished career. Still, I have established this thread in hopes that Admiral Ackbar fans everywhere can come together and talk about our favorite fish.

I always felt his best moment was actually having his art studied by Thrawn. It's mentioned in TTT that Thrawn's studied two sculptures made by Ackbar.
And consider me a member. Ackbar forever!

You betcha! In fact, I always considered it an ultimate compliment from Thrawn that he studied Ackbar's art. Not only that, but Thrawn also went to great lengths to frame Ackbar.

Hell, I love all those seens in the X-wing books were Borsk and Ackbar debate in the Provisional Council. Every time Ackbar puts Borsk in his place.
