Hey there,
kind of new here, so hello. 
I've officially been here since 2001 but never really had the time to come in and look around the place.
Anyway, I'm a total EU geek. I'm halfway through New Jedi Order and loving it. Although I'm a bit dissapointed in the way Troy Denning's been portraying Kyp.
I'm reading "Star by Star" right now, should be done tomorrow and I hate what the man's done to my favorite character.
But I'll get over it. Eventually. 
After I'm done with NJO, I will skip the Dark Nest series and start with Legacy of the Force. I need a Denning break first.

Hi im new to the boards, names Glenn from England and am well into the EU. Really got into it through the NJO series so i'm a little suprised that a few people got board during it, whats people's views on the legacy books? i think although it has almost the same outline as the prequel trilogy from inferno onwards it should start gettint interesting, (well i can only hope)

Hi people!
New to the entire JC forums, but loving it so far. Pretty new to the EU too. Just beginning to discover it by means of whatever I'm able to get hold of in audio-book form and download. And I'm only beginning to have any clue what order the various serieses are supposed to go in, so I've been reading rather randomly!
Question though. The social clubs I checked out in this community, EU Darth Vader fanclub, New Sith Order, Grey Defenders, all seem to be locked. Are those groups dead in space, as in, has interest just been lost in them? Or would it be worth pming a mod to see if they're unlockable?

You could PM a Mod to see if they're unlockable, but if a group is lost, it is generally because interest has been lost in it.

Hello,
Being an avid Star Wars fan, I am quite surprised that I haven't been on the JC forums until now. As soon as I came to the forums, my eyes were drawn directly to the EU section and then to its community. I've read a few of the EU books(definitely not all of them, low budget), played plenty of the EU games, and read just about everything else I know on Wookieepedia and heard from my friends in RL and online.
Everyone can just call me Z, or Big Z, or anything else related to that theme really. The_Big_Z stems from another name I use all the time on the internet as an alias: Zerix, or Zerix Orbane. Maybe you have heard of me from various invisionfree RPG forums, Fanfiction.Net, or even the SWCombine. In fact, I run my own Star Wars AU RPG on invisionfree, but I won't provide a link, due to the fact that there are probably rules regulating, or even against, advertising. I haven't gotten the chance to search around for those so I should be careful until then.

Hey dudes, dudettes, I've been gone lately because basically life sucked, I've been training non-stop, working all the time, and then my little bro was busted for selling drugs at school and has been expelled, my uncle is currently sitting in a hospital brain dead stemming from his kidneys failing (although the doctors still have no idea as to how or why they failed) and I went through a pair of bad women and lost pretty much every single person I would call a friend. So yeah, it's sucked, but time willing I'm hoping to be back now and contribute like I was before, it's nice to be back.
Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention that someone jacked my 60gig iPod and thanks to the money I have to fork up for my little bro's troubles I can't afford a new one right now.

Hey Z- Welcome to the boards! The EUC's bunches of fun. What you don't already know about the EU, you can pick up here. I recommend getting involved in a trivia game or a fanclub for a favorite character to learn more.
PerfectCell- Glad to see you've decided to return. The EUC can be a support system (if not just fun and therapeutic), to help keep your mind off of things. And hey, aside from the cost of internet service, the boards are free so you don't have to worry about that.

Hi everyone! New member here...
Erika: I've been a fan of the films since ANH but I didn't get into the EU until after the films were completed with ROTS. I've since accumulated a fairly large collection and I have found the tf.n member reviews/comments helpful in deciding what to buy next and the "Ultimate Timeline" very helpful in keeping it all in order.

Do we have a FC thread for Wedge or did it fall out of popularity? I may not have searched far enough down the pages to see if there once was one. Maybe even one for Tycho.
