Actually, as one of the original members of the council, I prefer that my friends be allowed to go wherever they want.

No? How about..."I trained two Padawans who reached Mastery here, at a time when your Order desperately needed more Masters to teach the Padawans."...That a good enough reason? And Despised1 has trained Jedi too.
Or...our friendships with half the Order-members?

And I've had bad experiences aplenty with lightsiders.
You know, the sort that deem all Sith evil so that any act against a Sith is justified. The sort who'll grab up weapons and go for me the instant they see me. The sort that think my side means they don't have to respect any bargains made. The sort who think it's funny to try to get me killed in spite of my helping them with something.
And I'm still here and haven't tried to kill you, after all my experiences. Does that say anything about my intentions while in this thread?
