If Tir is one thing, he's honorable. He's also mind-blowingly awesome. He's the perfect counterpart to Wedge. I really wish we saw more of him post-defection. And pre-defection. And post-redefection. And all the time. For as well-known and popular and incredible as he is, he doesn't show up in much, especially not outside the X-wing comics.

Quoted for freaking truth!
Maybe that is the appeal, he is just so darned honorable. The scum on Brentaal IV all but threw women at him and he turned them down.
You have to love how he can go from vaping snubfighters one minute to giving gardening advice the next? Is there anything this man cannot do?
I have always wondered why they don't use more of the Fel's in the novels? They use Jag (not enough)and I guess we have to be
thankful for that at least. We got Chak and then they offed him behind the scenes...he had such potential too.
In that one moment they tossed years of entertainment out the airlock. We could have had Jag and Chak flying around the universe taking out bad guys and having adventures. Jaina could have helped Chak find his own scruffy rebel...

I'd love to see more of the Fels. I think there are a lot of stories to be told of the Empire of the Hand, especially during the NJO, and Chak and Tir could really play into that. I'd also love to see something set earlier, when Davin and Cherith were still alive. I also hope that, with Jag's increasing prominence (I was so proud when the back-cover blurb of a LOTF novel just said "Jaina, Jag, and Zekk" -- Jag is on a first-name-only-identification basis with casual browsers, in DR's opinion) that Tir, Syal, Wyn, and Cem get more coverage. God knows they need it.

Look no political chaos here!
Anywho. Given the last LotF novel (which, um, I haven't read), we should see more Jagged... But of the rest? -unhappy shrug-

Allston might be willing to bring them in in the future, and Denning at least mentioned Soontir in DN, so he has his existence in mind. I'd love to see Stackpole and Zahn given some room to play, though, as I know they'd love to give us more on the Fels.

Zahn would be excellent.
But, ah, Stackpole kinda bores me.
But I'm a faithful believer in Allston's Felophila...

That is because Stackpole rocks and invents all the cool characters.

I could not agree more. Lately I have been reading the X-Wing comics with Soontir in them for a Fel fix. IIRC most
of those are by Stackpole. Do you guys know after the Rogue Squadron Omnibus 3 are there any others with Fel-action?

There's no more comics with Soontir in them. There are, in fact, surprisingly few sources with Soontir at all. The Hutt Gambit, Vision of the Future, Dark Journey, and Force Heretic II: Refugee are the only other sources with Soontir in them, and none of those are major roles, with Dark Journey only being one scene.

That's what I was afraid of. I was hoping there was one stray novel or comic that I was missing.
Thanks for the info!

Indeed I do. He's creative, certainly. However, I do not personally enjoy his style of writing.

So earlier I was making a dash through Albertson's to pick up a few groceries and guess what I spotted?
Making a bee line for the meat counter and noticed some SW items piled in a small bin.
He was right there on top! A Baron Fel action figure! It was all I could do not to go all fangirl
and squeeeee all over the place. I calmly placed it in my cart. The smile was gone from my
face when I saw how much that baby was at the check out! 15.00! What the heck? I mean, yes it was a set
with a Rouge comic and *gasp* a Hobbie action figure....but still! 15.00?
I really had no choice because that's the first time I have found one. Can't help but feel like I was
used and not even kissed. But, I have a Soontir Fel and he's not one of those teeny tiny ones.

Do they have them over at your Target? PM me where if you don't mind. I'm over in that area to pick up and
drop off my son every weekend and I will check out what they have. Our Target always has the same ones and I've
never seen a Fel there. I did get a Mara Jade there ages ago and have not seen another one there since.
I hope it's close to Rosa's Tortilla Factory. I usually try and stop there before I head back
home.
