- When your bookshelf has more SW books than your favorite bookstore.
- When you compare grossly overweight people to Jabba The Hutt, and really old people to Yoda. (It's rude, but at least I admit it)
- You're convinced that EU stories like the Vong War and Tales of the Jedi would be cooler than the actual movies.
- You sometimes find images of EU characters more attractive than real celebs. (Jaina, Mara, and Tenel Ka for me!  )
- You study Star Wars history like some people study world history.
- Some Star Wars animals fascinate you more than real ones. (Seriously, who wouldn't want a tauntaun?  )
- Your thinking of using bits of the Force/Jedi Code as your own personal belief system.

There was a time when I ran into another EU fan, and we literally talked for two hours while successfully scaring even the geeks away. And we saw nothing wrong with it.
When you look at the cover of Invincible and automatically start plotting out how the lightsaber battle could have gone to put Jaina in such an awkward pose.
