Incidentally, a friend and I said "Yub yub, Commander!" to the head of the Fighters' Guild of our Mediaeval Society, just to see if he'd get the reference - dead funny, because we were in full Viking kit at the time, complete with weaponry. We had a bet going on whether Sigurd would look totally bemused, call us geeks, draw his langseax (lit. long knife) or be bothered to take his sword away from Kynwulf for long enough to chase the pair of us down and kill us.
He drew the langseax. We did the sensible thing and ran in opposite directions to one another.
