* you're husband knows Kyp Durron's life story from beginning to end
* you're husband's jealous of a guy that doesn't exist 
* you wish you could use the Force to strangle people who annoy the hell out of you
* you try using the Force to move things around (too bad it doesn't work)
* you start comparing Earth poltics to Star Wars poltics and decide that politicians are the same in every galaxy
* you wish EU characters existed just to hook up with someone (in my case, Kyp)
* the first organized "Star Wars Dinner" is called Cantina Club Bielefeld (my hometown here in tiny little Germany)
* you tried convincing your husband to name your baby girl "Mara Jade" (he doesn't like the name Mara, so we ended up with Lillian Jade. Got the Jade, though.  )
* your husband, who doesn't really like Star Wars, starts saying things like "You Sith!"
I think that's about it.

If you've used words like sithspit, sithspawn, spast, kriff, frell or bothan-lover so much that your mother starts treating them like actual cuss words. (no, this really did happen to me! I got in big trouble when my seven-year-old brother called someone a kriffing sithspawn bothan lover...  that would be one he heard me say.)

If you can't get through an EU book without swooning like a fangirl. I did that throughout most of LOTF.
If you meet someone who has actually heard of the EU and that makes your day.
If you find SW allusions in your history notes, explaining out everything. I did that all the time in World History and US History.
If you're still looking for that Jacen Solo or Zekk to come sweep you off your feet. No luck here.
If your bookshelf is sagging under the weight of your EU books.
If you save your money carefully to have enough for the next EU book.
If you've ordered EU books from a bookstore!
If you've used Vergere's philosophy on someone and they believed it.
If you quote the EU on a regular basis. Sometimes I do indeed miss my sanity. And is it what the teacher teaches, or what the student learns? I learned nothing from four years of private prep school. Do I get my $40000 back?

If you meet someone who has actually heard of the EU and that makes your day.
Done that, I can actually talk to someone about SW without starting a sentence with: "Well, if you've read the books-in such and such book..."
Those times are few and far between for me outside of this forum.
