I am very saddened to hear about Venin. He had such enthusiasm for all things Dark Side. And as Tee said, he so wanted to be a full time active member here. He will be greatly missed. My heart and prayers go out to his wife and family.

This is not cool at all, I am truly saddened by this. He was always a welcome sight in the old NSO as well as in the DoD, his sense of humor fit well and helped to ease many a tense moment. Venin was a good person, he will be remembered.
There are very few things that will lead me toward prayer, but tonight will be a night when a word will have to be said for his family, his loved ones and of course Darth_Venin himself.

I personally didn't talk to him. But, doesn't stop the fact that i'm sad to hear he's passed. No one really deserves to pass that way. I'll be placing him in my Sig. Right under my mom's name.

No, I am sorry, no prank. Yes he was full of life, and energy. He keep me on my toes when we role played together, and out of the game too. He actually inspired me to return here when things got hairy and boring. Yes, sometimes it does, but most of all, he pushed me into writing my own fan fic, about my two newest charaters, soon to be Dark Lord Carreon, and his apprentice Hazel, or Dark Knight. Though I might put it on the back burner, and try to write a fan fic about his own life and training. It could be fun to do.
I told him about this place and some of you remember when he first came on the scene. He sure was full of it. (take your pick)

Yep, he was married, young, but married. In a way, thankfully no kids, or things could be very much worse for Marcy. I talked to her when I had a chance and she is moving back to her own home town to be with her parents for awhile.
No actually he was taken some very advance training to do some very wicked things with computers. He was basicly doing very high tech computer work for the military. I would love to have his pay checks, but not where he worked, no thank you. I can barly handle the four wheelers out here on the road. He went over seas, and did things, that he could not even tell me.
His charater from AD&D (Ravenloft), a little wicked drwaft(ms) told my wicked woman, something that will always stick with me. It is game related, but it made sense to me.

(A little back story, my charater failed to make a potion, and being who she was, did not help her confidence. He was almost her mentor.)

Thats a shame about Venin. Drunk driving is the stupidest thing a person could do. It's horrible that Venin lost his life to one.

I know how it feels to lose a family member to drunk driving...I feel for Venins wife.
I wish I had gotten to know him better, I really do. I had seen him only a couple of times, however.
Perhaps I shall dedicate my duel to Venin, a fellow member of the DoD...?

Hi guys,
I'm not a Sith so thank you for inviting me here to honor your fallen comrade.
I didn't know Darth Venin very well, but I had seen his duels in the RPF Lightsaber Combat Thread and had been so impressed with him that I had contacted him and asked him to come play a Dark Jedi in my RPG.
When he sent in the CS I was impressed by the amount of work and creativity that had gone into it.
Now that he has passed I'll be sure to still give his as of yet un-introduced character an honorable mention in the storyline.
What little I did know of him was that he was a good person, an honest person and a man of extreme mental dexterity.
I know he will sorely be missed and that for a long time there will be a void in certain places on the Jedi Council Fourms, like the RPF and here.
But I know we'll also be happy and celebrate his passing, because he was such a wonderful person, and because we were happy to have known him and because we still have joyful memories of him in our hearts.
He's in Heaven now, and as I have said, If there is Star Wars Roleplaying there I hope he's having a blast.
He will always be missed and never forgotten.
As an extra note, I'm not a Sith so I probally don't know a whole lot about this, but how would you guys feel about making Venin an honorary Dark Lord?
I think it was always a peak in his training that he was trying to reach.
