What I'm interested in finding out, is why there hasn't been an istance, that I know of, since Zannah, where Sith Magic has been brought up. Is it outdated material, did it lose style or was it lost altogether?

I believe the best explanation is when Lucas took the Force from mystical, to scientific thanks to midi-chlorians, words like Magic lost its appeal.
So now its not Magic, its explained as specific Force abilities.

It did the same. Despite being somewhat sick of the Dark Times formula - Jedi dead, a Jedi takes on the story, Vader chases them, some other characters wander in and out of the plot, Jedi dies, Vader wins - I enjoyed the first part of this trilogy. I imagine it'll break the typical Dark Times mould.
Incidentally, Jedi Paladins sound very interesting. I would love to kill one.

I actually like the idea of Sith Magic, it is too bad that it's not as respected or used like it was in the past. It's very much a lost art form.
