There are many Sith that can be put in that title so to name one wouldnt do the others justice. So i will name a few.
Palpatine - His superior skills of cunning diplomacy, knowledge of the force from many aspects have put him as the one of the most successful if not the most of the Sith. He played everyone around him with such beatiful deception that he is one of the Sith i admire.
Revan - Was the first sith who i liked. He was a genius and quite powerful. Knowledge was his quest for he was a true tactician. He was a natural leader and was the first to introduce the ROT.
Bane - Because he recognised the inferiority of the Sith. He was the Sith'ari (sp) he cleansed them to make them strong but few. He implemented the ROT which he got from Revan's holocron.

My vote's with Bane...
Although Vader's a very close 2nd. So close in fact, I'd call him 1a.

Ok now that we have a list of names. The next step would be renaming the thread. We had some good titles and maybe a member wide vote would be good. Im not of course the leader so it is just a suggestion.

I agree... a new thread name would be a good step forward. Here is a list of thread names offered so far:
