IC: Alric Sagitta, Imperial Knight Apprentice

Typical Sith, he drains his partner's energy to strengthen himself, allowing him to continue fighting while at the same time weakening one who he may have to face. However, their backstabbing nature shall be their own downfall. The first Sith, having partially healed himself by draining the very life energy of his own ally, was now aiming for a precise strike to Sagitta's neck with his blade. At the same moment, the second Sith was moving to strike from behind, probably attempting to cleave him in two in a single blow.

In this brief moment, a small smile crossed Sagitta's face. Fools. Drawing on the Force, he reached out with it and used it to try and hammer the first Sith backwards, aiming to slam him into the wall. For his next move, the Knight swapped his lightsaber to his off hand. Although it was a sacrifice in terms of precision, it would at least keep him from being overpowered from the pain of fighting with his injured shoulder.

Stepping sideways to avoid the blow of the second Sith, he used the Force to pull the second Sith's lightsaber downwards to accelerate the blow and try and keep the Sith off balance for a moment. That's your weakness, Sith. You fight with strength, no finesse. You make no secret of where you try and strike. Bringing his own lightsaber around, he aimed for a horizontal slice at the Sith's chest, hoping to end his life in a single blow by cutting him in half.

IC: Darth Sabith

With his blade nearing the Alric’s throat Sabith felt the a strong Push in the force, so powerful it had knocked Sabith back and forced him to slam against the wall behind him. His head hit the wall with such force that he could feel the warmth of his own blood dripping down his neck. Darkness threatened to take Sabith out of the fight. The pounding pain in his head seemed to beat like a drum that followed his pulse. Upon colliding with the wall Sabith had been forced to drop his sword and thus it lay next to him lodged into his own right leg.

This duel was not going well for Sabith that much was sure. Already he had sacrificed his left shoulder, felt the dark energies of force lightening course against his back, been pounded against a wall and at the same time been sliced in his right leg with his own sith blade. The blood that poured from his two wounds would not allow him to continue much longer, that much Sabith was sure of.

As a sith he knew that only the strong would survive but he had learned to turn his own pain into a weapon to channel it so that he could push forward. Gripping the hilt of his sword Sabith gritted his teeth as he pulled with all of his might. The pain in his left shoulder had been dulled but it had remained there, and to make matters worse the injury began to develop a yellowish color to it. With a loud scream Sabith removed his blade from his right leg and immediately blood began to flow free. His blade has now slick as was his hands. Looking up at the Imperial Knight Sabith felt the fires of his hate burn and though his eyes seem unwilling to focus he knew what he needed to do.

Tearing a long strip of cloth from pant leg Sabith quickly fashioned himself a make shift bandage. Short term it would help slow the blood but he would likely spend the next few weeks in a bacta tank or using forgotten Sith Magic’s to heal himself. Regardless it would take time. Holding his sword in his right hand Sabith looked around him and with luck he found a long metal rod. Taking the rod Sabith began to rise once more but as he neared standing the darkness came causing him to black out for only a moment. His face smashed against the hard floor and a moment latter when Sabith came two he could taste the blood in his mouth and felt the sharp pain of something in his chest. The fall had split his lip and lodged a metal shard into his the center of his chest. Although he was in no condition to continue the fight he would not let down his order.

Again Sabith tried to rise and this time he managed to stand, his body trembled from the pain and Sabith had to draw that pain to push the coming darkness away from him. His rage would give him the strength he needed to continue or at least that was what he hoped for. Yet Sabith was no fool and this battle had already proved brutal against the sith apprentice. Although the Sith still had a chance for complete Victory, for his companion had received nearly no damage during the assault.

Limping forward Sabith felt the Imperial had gained a slight advantage in the duel but that would soon be over. Sabith has never failed against the sith and he would not start now. Once more he came near the Imperial the blood from his wounds continued to pour upon him. In fact he doubted the Imperial Knight had seen anything quite like Sabith. A smile crossed the sith's blooded face at the thought of what his next action would bring. "Imperial you have fought well for this I reward you with your life." Though I will not say my fellow brethren will do the same for you. Saluting the knight with his sith blade Sabith knew the moment would make the knight a bit jumpy.

Letting his emotions cool Sabith poured his feelings of admiration into the force. Then Sabith once more Sabith made to attack the Imperial but it was only a diversion and one that would possibly cost Sabith even more dearly. The assult would seem like a last ditch effort of Sabith's to kill the Imperial but in truth it would allow him to reach Darth Idoneus. His sith blade came near the Imperial Knight but his strike was ment to miss, it's true target was the ground in front of Darth Idoneus. "My Brother, let our BLADES finish what we started" stated Sabith as the darkness engulfed him and then his body went still as the blood continued to flow.

No more did his pulse beat, no longer did his body posses the essence it once did and in the force all who were present would feel the sith's death. At least for the moment it would seem that way. Yet in the force all things are possible...

IC: Darth Idoneus

Idoneus could feel the pain and suffering that Sabith was going through as he hit the wall. It filled his body, refreshing like jumping into a cool mountain lake. He drew in the emotions and feed off of them, savoring them like a sweet wine. This it what being a Sith is all about!

At the same time as he enjoyed the nectar of Sabiths pain, he knew it was a double edged sword. He may be empowered by the pain, but I doubt Sabith can endue much more of this. And as he looked over he could see Sabith struggling to get up.

"Imperial you have fought well for this I reward you with your life, though I will not say my fellow brethren will do the same for you.”

Smiling as Sabith saluted and then charged, Idoneus saw the Imperial dodge his overhead strike, Idoneus’ momentum bringing him around and off balance. As the Imperial Knight brought his blade around to cut him to pieces, Idoneus dropped to the ground, ducking under the strike, sweeping his legs, intending to send the Knight to the ground.

But the sweep was only secondary to his real purpose. "My Brother, let our BLADES finish what we started" He reached out and grabbed the hilt of the Sith sword, Sabith’s drying blood sticking to his hands. “Your gift will not go unused.”

Rolling out of the way, Idoneus then stood up. Examining the blade, he noted some details that would come in handy. The hilt of the blade had a guard on it made of Mandalorian Iron. He also noted that it had weight to the blade, unlike the lightsabers which were made of energy, and thus weighed nothing. “Perfect.”

Holding the Sith blade in his good hand, he flipped his lightsaber into a reversed position, it blade pointing to the ground. As he readied for his attack he could feel Sabith die, his life essence passed over Idoneus and the Sith sword, almost as if it was telling the blade to accept Idoneus as it current wielder, and to work as hard as it did for Sabith.

Choosing that as the time to strike, Idoneus charged the Knight, bringing the Sith sword around, he tried to use the weight to his advantage. But even as he did this he kept the lightsaber back, saving it to block the sure to be incoming counter strike.

IC: Alric Sagitta, Imperial Knight Apprentice

Falling prey to the Sith's leg sweep, Sagitta hit the floor hard, sending a jolt of pain through his wounded shoulder. But he would not remain there for long, gritting his teeth from the pain he rolled to the side and came back up to his feet. They would not take down an Imperial Knight, even if still an apprentice, so easily. The first Sith died...an unexpected, though not regrettable, turn of events. This will make the remaining Sith that much easier to deal with, though the Sith blade and lightsaber together may pose a challenge. Dueling an opponent with two weapons would certainly require a change in strategy.

With a single blade the Sith's blows had been powerful, but still predictable. With two, he was a whirlwind of death, if one missed the other could still wound mortally. Alric was almost glad his shoulder had been injured, if he had been fighting with his good hand he may have been fatally overconfident in facing such an opponent. Fighting with his off hand would keep him cautious.

After rising to his feet and examining the sword the fallen Sith had given to him, the Sith charged forward while swinging his mighty blade, letting its weight do the work for him. Fighting cautiously, rather than the obvious choice of parrying and countering, Sagitta ducked and dodged to the side, moving to let the attack sweep past him. Bringing his own blade around, he aimed to strike at the Sith's side, which should be left open from the powerful swing. This is the weakness of your style, foul Sith. If your blows are dodged, you're left wide open!

The Sith Sword flew through the air, his opponent dodging the strike. But Idoneus was ready for this. Taking the reversed-grip lightsaber that he had kept back, he caught the Knight's lightsaber near the base of his saber to give him the most power in his block. Foolish Knight, you have to consider your opponent's weapons. You'll never beat me this way!

Keeping his opponents blade locked with his lightsaber hand, his other hand flew out, not as a slash at the Knight, but as a punch at his opponent's eyes. The Mandalorian Iron of the guard will do a good job at swelling his eyes up. You cannot fight what you cannot see.

He didnt worry about the lightsaber coming around and hitting his hand. If he brings that blade around I'll just catch it on the gaurd. He has no chance. Idoneus was feeling so confident that he let out a small smile.

The two opponents stopped, the loud crack of Darth Idoneus' fist impacting, the hiss of the lightsaber on his gauntlet. The Emperor's hologram flickered into existence, and he paused, looking down at the remaining two opponents. Darth Sabith was down. As was Fauna Ti. Alric and Idoneus remained standing. This had been a surprising and brutal duel.

The Emperor folded his arms. "Judgement. Fauna Ti has been poisoned to a degree that she has been rendered unconcious. Sabith has commited practical suicide. Idoneus seemed to add a Mandalorian gauntlet to his body in the final stages of the duel, which I admittedly do disapprove of. Arlic was assailed, and cannot, in my opinion, be ignored as a very strong opponent."

"Sabith's death leap, as it was, was artfully started, though at the end, just how a body that has seemingly surrendered it's life can strike did bemuse me. As did the use of the Force beyond the set skills, though in a less amusing fashion. Beyond that, I was deeply impressed by the use of his cloak as a weapon of sorts, and his acceptance of damage in efforts to injure his opponent. He reacted well."

"Fauna Ti had little chance to succeed. Poisoned incredibly, she eventually succumbed to unconciousness, and near death. I'm not sure that Sabith's attempt to yank at her heart would be that unnoticed, regardless of the wave of poison, but I digress. She played exceptionally well, to the point of death, which does need reflecting. That being said, had the Sith chosen to pick on Arlic, the ending would have been the same at his end. I may be nitpicking."

"Idoneus demonstrated something I found surprising even in a Sith; real visciousness. Rather than pushing at Fauna, he crushed her to the ground. Inventive, and intuitive. His Form wouldn't necessarily account for twin blades, though, as Djem So is fundamentally a twin-handed technique. I do wonder if this would have been reflected later on by him."

The Emperor's hologram looked pointedly at Darth Idoneus. "As such, though I repeat my dislike of Idoneus's gauntlet, I have to give the duel to Arlic and Idoneus. They are, after all, the last ones standing, though I must say I would prefer that Fauna Ti be recognised for her incredible duelling etiquette, but feel duty bound to recognise Idoneus and Arlic."

The Jedi Grandmaster slowly made his way into the room in which the remaining two combatants were. It hadn't taken him long to stabilize Fauna and he had caught up on the duel quickly. He paused at the fallen Sabith's body and carefully steped over it, before coming to stand not far from the duelests. "Idoneus, Arlic its rather obvious who remains standing isn't it? Sabith's Death and Fauna being unconcious."

"The way the both of you Sith ganged upon Fauna in the begining, was like a group of large children picking on a smaller one. You both lacked any finess any grace, you were, sadly, effective."

After a breath Kahn turned to Arlic, "You Arlic faught splindedly, carefully, with wisdom i would not expect of an apprentice." He then turned to Idoneus. "And you... I would much rather see Fauna standing in your place. She faught with all her being despit having all the world against her, but her condition removes any likelyhood of that. You're here more for survival skills and your abilites to dodge than just for your combat skills, atleast in my opinion. For instance, your use of the gaurd of the sword was... unbelivable. Arlic sidesteped your attack with it, so it was not in a possition to be used in the punching manner you used it in."

"So, by skill in combat, indurence, roleplaying ability, etiquette, and belivability. And by the fact that there is in fact a third living combatant. I vote, that Arlic, and Fauna continue to the next round."

OOC: Wait, when did I have a gauntlet. I was using the gaurd that is on the Sith Sword, which is made of mandalorian iron. IE,

It wasnt stated if it had a gaurd or not, so I just assumed. I know not to randomly give myself equipment, trust me.

Imperial_Hammer's hologram flickered into existence, beamed in from his newly created Mod-Fortress in the RPF. He had observed a very good battle, and had his results.

"Quite a battle friends. I did enjoy reading it. A fight worthy of your status as semi-finalists. I'm giving the battle to the twin Siths, Darths Idoneus and Sabith. Their cooperation was nothing short of outstanding, both in cunning and in quality of writing. Their tactics were timed very well, and for the duration of almost the entire battle. They built their tactics on top of each other, and thusly made for superior dueling.

It was not perfect on their side though. They used a lot of force maneuvers that weren't approved for this duel (like the sharing of energies and stuff like that). Plus there were some physical feats that struck me as a bit fantastical. On this though, all players were guilty, so I don't hold it too much against them.

As for Sagitta and Fauna Ti, their tactics were good. Just as good on a singular focus as any of the Sith players, maybe even better. But this wasn't enough in my opinion to grant them victories.

The real wins came both in 1.) the longer, more intricate posts of the Sith, esp. in their feelings and backstories, and 2.) their advanced levels of cooperation.

I second Sinre's admiration of the players, especially Sabith and Ti, for their realistic taking of damage. Its always very good form to do so and you have my admiration for it.

If you have any questions/concerns/etc., PM me...

And with that, the holo faded away...

On board her personal ship, the Dark Lady of the Sith sat in her comfortable leathered chair while listening to the judges. There was a wicked smile upon her face as she watched the Grand Master of the JedI give his speech.

"The way the both of you Sith ganged upon Fauna in the beginning, was like a group of large children picking on a smaller one. You both lacked any finesse any grace, you were, sadly, effective."

Mystique raised a brow at this for it was to her opinion a very well thought out plan for if it were any other situation where a Sith was the one that was in Fauna’s position , then the result most likely would have been the same. The Sith would have been persecuted because leaving a Sith alive is something the JedI, Templars or IK’s could not do.

Such is a life of a Sith. They were not here to be judged on morals if so the Sith would not be invited. Never the less. She liked what she saw though not everything went as she hoped. The Sith lost an acolyte but Sabith did what he had to do. It was for a much greater cause than himself. He sacrificed himself so his Sith brother could advance to the final stage. This was too be commended.

”I will not go in to detail about the tactics on how the Templar was rendered unconscious. I see it as the removal of a nuisance, though while poisoned she was able get a few remarkable strikes in. NowI do think it would have been better if the Sith didn’t concentrate on the weaker opponent.”

“I see no one concerned over a death of a Sith, yet an unconscious Templar will get sympathy.”

“Sabith need not have sacrificed himself, it was his mistake. He made up for it by helping his fellow Sith. “

“I for one like to feel that I can`understand what the character is about instead of all the technicals of a fight. When i read the posts I was captivated by the Sith because I as a reader not a Sith wanted to know what they did next. To me when you can capture people‘s attention then you truly commanded the story.”

My judgement goes to Sabith and Idoneus.

The room that was once filled with the leaders of the Separatist Council, beings who pushed forward a war that devastated many planets, was now full of Force-Users from all walks of life, one Sith, one body, an Imperial knight, an injured Templar, three holograms, the Jedi Grandmaster and now slowly walking into the room was a Silver Master from the Twilight Templars. He looked around at everything, images of what had happened there blazed through his mind.

"A battle to be remembered? Yes?

He pointed to all combatants, raising his arm and drawing out a semi-circle in mid-air.

"You have all done wonderfully to get to this point and are to be congratulated, but now I must bring you the news of who is going through and who shall proceed no further in this tournament.

The Sith who did focus all of their Poison Force upon Fauna should be ashamed for their lack of honour, However should be set as an example of strategic brilliance and so clearly nearly eliminated Fauna so very early on, though some may say had the same happened to any character then the end result would have been the same, I think that had either Arlic or Fauna invested in the ability to Slow the poison using the Force then the match may have gone differently, unfortunately for them they did not and such faced the consequences. I'm not even sure if Shield is able to block Poison if that is correct then Fauna should have been hit by 3 ways and eliminated even earlier on? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Next Sabith inserting Arlic's bladed into his own shoulder, absolutely pointless, anyone with half an gram of the Force in them would have been able to retrieve their blade and resume their actions, also his "sacrifice" in giving Arlic a slight distraction and giving Indoneus his blade, also pointless, as an apprentice the ability to Master duel wielding is limited at best and would only go to slow Indoneus down, unless of course he in Anakin Skywalker? No? Also aiming for once heart and pulling it is extremely unlikely for anyone let alone an apprentice, but Fauna did ignore this which was a good choice.

Darth Indoneus himself fought a very good match and as such has my vote to go through to the next round, I could go on about him but I feel no need to.

Something that I did like about everyone was damage, though I think that had Fauna been hit by the three waves of Poison like I feel she should of been then more damage, but perhaps it is only my belief that shield cannot block poison, otherwise damage was good."

Star could feel that he needed to hurry things along.

"As much as I would like to allow Fauna to go through, I think that the fact that it was her responsibility to choose her Force Powers that she did not choose Slow, I cannot put the fact that she was ganged up upon in her favour. The fact that for a start Sabith fought well, but in the end seemed to make pointless moves and "died" which is his fault and his fault only that I cannot had it over to him either.

And so I award the other place in the final to none other than Alric Sagitta, who like Darth Indoneus had few noticeable faults. And also were the last two standing."

With that he gave a nod to the other Judges

"With three votes to both Arlic Sagitta and Darth Indoneus, two to Darth Sabith and one to Fauna Ti, the winners of this round are clearly Arlic Sagitta and Darth Indoneus.

IC: Darth Sabith

The lowly sith had awoken from his meditation with blood stained robes. His lifeless clone had failed him that much was sure. The wounds upon his body was a testament that he had still not found away to become invisible. The link between his mind and that of his pawns seemed to transfer the very attacks to his own body. Though the ability was still a great one to be sure.

The sith apprentice was no more only recently he had been promoted and closing his eyes once more he projected his own image into the very place he had witnessed himself die. Standing before the masters Sabith's crimson eyes burned with hate but he was not a fool. Looking at the dark lady Sabith bowed before them a slight smile on his face. He had heard every word that had been spoken thanks to a small transmitter inside the dead clones body.

Rising Sabith walked over to the templar that he and his fellow sith had viciously attacked. A smile upon his face he looked into her eyes. "I must say I was deeply impressed by your will to live and though we did not give you much time to post you did have outstanding post. As the first to be defeated you showed the ablity to be realistic in your postings...and a pain in the butt for Darth Indoneus and myself."

Next Sabith walked forward to the second being the Imperial Knight. Once more the sith saluted his foe before he began to speak. "I see you have survived the assault although I find it very unlikely that any apprentice would be able to last against two so well as you have preformed. Granted you are not just any apprentice and for your skill and strength I salute you and perhaps you will one day see the errors of your belief and embrace the truth that the darkside is greater."

Turning once more the sith walked forward his body almost seemed like a living ghost. Sabith stopped before his sith counterpart and looked at the sword that he had once considered a part of himself. "I must say you did well Darth Indoneus and though I did not advance I believe you will have a difficult fight a head of yourself. Although I will enjoy our coming duel for there is still much that the two of us must learn." Sabith could feel the hate with in Indoneus he had been looking forward to a chance of defeating Sabith since the day that he had been defeated by the very blade he currently held. "As for my sword you may keep it already I have started building a new improved blade and you have earned that blade, my friend."

With Sabith's words to the combatants done the sith turned to look upon the masters. Each was powerful and wise in their own way but somewhere foolish. "First let me think you all for allowing me to have the honor of being a member of this past duel. Now I have heard that some of you did not understand why Sabith would sacrifice himself as such. The pulling of the lightsaber into my own shoulder not only made it not god moding since I took a great deal of damage but it would also make the Imperial Knight unable to defend himself for a few moments. Plus since I had my cloak wrapped around his wrist he had a slight God Mode when he sliced out of it.

Had he switched hands it would have been believable but he didn't nor did he have the chance to in fact in all likely hood he would have lost that hand because my cloak was wrapped around his wrist and my own blade was coming to remove his hand. Not to mention that my fellow sith was going for a kill shot in the back that if he decided to save his hand would have ended his life. Twisting ones wrist to slice a cloak would have been nearly impossible without the aid of the force.

Secondly since he somehow managed to twist his wrist and cut the cloak then I made it where I took even more damage. In this duel Sabith took a great deal of damage and needed to fight as though he did. Had I used that shoulder and managed to continue in the duel with little pain then I would have been struck as a God Moder.

Thirdly we are two sith of course we eliminate the weak first because the weak don't have a right to duel us. Not to mention as sith we don't play fair in a fight unless we have no choice. Let's not forget if it was just Darth Indoneus or I and two templer or two Imperial knights the same would have happened.

As for my unique use of the force it was never stated that one could not pull at the internal or body parts of another. Had she used shield the attack would have been blocked. In fact I also stated Sabith did not know if it would even work. I constantly look for things that others would not think about and as such I make things a bit more instructing. Let’s face it I took a neutral power and turned it dark and it was still used in the effect that had been approved.

I pulled at an object, if we can push or pull people why would it not be possible to push or pull bones, organs and the like?

Lastly my "Sacrifice" was due to the damage that I took as I had little that I could do to defend against the Imperial Knights attack, plus the fact I had already been weaken due to my shoulder wound and was taken by surprise. With my body slammed against a wall a concussion was very likely to happen then I could have had it where I got up and tried to fight but it wouldn't make much sense with the amount of damage I took.

Especially since it seemed that only we sith was willing to take the damage and strike's being given. The Imperial Knight should have at least lost his hand receive multiple injuries or even been slained. Most jedi and even Imperial have a hard time against a single sith much less two sith....Once more I will congratulate the two victors although I myself believe that Fauna or myself out did Alric Sagitta (no offense) as we tried to be more realistic in our post and not tried to be invincible." With that said the image of Sabith bowed before each of the masters and waited their responses.

Mustafar

Fire and lava spew from the ground, with little to greet the duellists. The site of numerous battles during the Dark Ties and Galactic Civil War, it has been claimed by galaxy-spanning companies, Separatist insurgents, and Droid rebellions. Now, a few settlements and a single off-world facility remain; the Mensix Mining Facility. A near replica of the factory destroyed by the climatic duel between Obi-Wan Kenobi and the newly christened Darth Vader over a hundred and fifty years ago, the current one has been abandoned for the purposes of the duel today.

But today it is not a Dark Lord of the Sith and a Jedi Council Master duelling for the fate of the Galaxy while an Empire rises in the hearts of Galaxy, today it is an Imperial Knight apprentice and Sith facing off in a Galaxy with two Empire's, a shattered democracy, and a Jedi Order decimated; the time dark, but not as dark as the Empire's first two decades. But they are no less imperiled, and their duel will be fraught with danger.

The Imperial
Nu-class shuttle beside them, three Mustafarians watching, the two opponents have been placed on the platform where Obi-Wan and Vader duelled all those years ago. The final battle will now...begin.

IC: Darth Idoneus

Idoneus stood on the hard metal of the landing platform, his boots making a clanging sound as his feet shifted position. Beside him he could see the massive Imperial Shuttle. Some might be wary fighting an opponent who had support like this. But I have nothing to fear. If I die due to treachery, then it will bring the wrath of the Sith down upon them.

Sliding his cloak down his shoulders to the ground, Idoneus took in his surroundings. The warm air was stifling, even this far from the lakes and rivers of lava that poured down from the mountains. This hellish land should have been lost to the annals of time. The sulfur burning his nostrils, he saw the tall mining facility just down the short path.

Looking at his opponent, he felt a bead of sweat form on his forehead, which dried just as quickly as it formed. I can tell we are both feeling the effects of the heat. But us Sith are used to the fiery glares of people vying for our positions. Compared to the glares of dozens of acolytes wanting a master of their own, this is nothing.

Idoneus picked up his lightsaber from his waist belt, feeling the still cool metal in his hands. [i]You haven’t failed me yet, and I doubt you ever will.[i]

Finally acknowledging the Imperial Knight, he ignited his blade, its red light slightly brighter than the dim molten surroundings. “Imperial Knight. You have bested my compatriot Sabith, robbing from me the chance to duel him again in a fitting setting. This will not go unpunished. Now you will see the power that the Darkside can give a man who’s scorned.”

Charging towards his opponent, he began sidestepping at random, not giving his opponent a chance to determine his avenue of attack. As he neared the Knight he crouched slightly and stabbed up at his opponent, learning his lesson about over-committing from the last duel.
