The Abandoned Temple
Abandoned in the wastes of Bpfassh, the Temple here once belonged to Jedi - noble and pure. They fell to the dark side during the Clone Wars and were corrupted, only to be defeated by Master Yoda himself. With the worlds around Bpfassh caught up in the Clone Wars, there temple was abandoned, and ravaged by time.
Now, two combatants meet in one of the still-lit corridors of the temple. There remains the battered red blood-red carpet on the floor, and the glowpanels flicker regardless of the time they have wasted on such visions. Massive columns bracket the meters-wide carpet, and there is little on the floor apart from the occassional piece of fallen masonry and a ranat nest or two in the corners. The room is vast, and every sound will echo as if an epic is being sung.
At one end of this lit corridor stands one opponent, and the other, another. They have their blades, and they, as apprentices of the Force, know the risks are larger for them.

Damkor looked about at the decaying relic that was once a noble Jedi enclave. The columns that now stood were decrepit and reminded him of how the same nearly became of the Jedi, how they became stagnant in their ways, luckily that changed. However he now stood in one of the ancient corridors, about to lock blades with a Sith opponent. "Hello, If I could perhaps get your name, we can start this duel." he said, speaking to the SIth on the opposing side of the hall. He then grabbed the hilt of his lightsaber, it was cool, yet soothing as he lifted it, then he ignited the verdant green blade, it's glow illuminating the area around him a bit better than the faltering lights.

Entering the ancient temple of the jedi Darth Sabith recalled the stories he had been told as a boy. Yet today this stories where only mere Legends but this temple proved them to at least be partially true. In ruins the temple resembled what the jedi had done to him and as he entered a new room he saw a lone jedi standing on the far side of the room. At one time Sabith may have even been friends to the young jedi but not now. With the truth reveled he would force this jedi to endure the pains that there order had bestowed upon him.
Drawing his sith blade from his back Darth Sabith carried it lovingly. It had been forged no long ago and it held only one purpose and he would ensure it tasted the blood of his enemy soon. Slowly he made his way towards the jedi padawan, his footsteps echoed off the walls. Sabith had been forbidden to wear his Sith Armor and as such he found himself walking with only his cloak, black pants, and his boots.His robes had been left behind as a testimony to his strength. With each step his black cloak swayed and as he closed the gap between the padawon the fool spoke.
"Hello, If I could perhaps get your name, we can start this duel." Without speaking Sabith quickened his pace until he was in a full run. The jedi reached for his lightsaber and activated the blade. A bright green blade came forth out of the room pale light. This light Sabith would soon destroy and he would take the jedi’s life.
As he drew almost in striking range Darth Sabith Pushed off his right foot as hard as he could forcing himself into a sideward’s flip landing on top of a broken column. Once more Sabith pushed himself forward into a flip trying to land behind his opposite and once on the ground he flung his sword blade forward into a lunge aimed at the jedi’s mid spine.

Seeing his opponent jump right for the jugular Damkor spun around in a flash, easily parrying the mid spine- now a gut shot. "Not very polite now are you." he said as the blades clashed, he proceeded to jump backwards, just enough room to take up a defensive stance. "Then again I never gave you my name, I should have done so, how rude of me, name's Damkor Kirido." Damkor said. "Now let's dance." he continued, he then lept at his opponent, unleashing a series of blows, to the head, the torso, legs, arms, anything that could incapacitate his opponent, adding in the natural speed and unpredictablity of his Vaapad style, these blows would be both hard to track, and hard to block, but he knew not to underestimate his opponent-especially a Sith train combatant, he'd have to see how his opponent did in order to mount a decent defense. The fight was on.

With the two blades clashing together sending sparks into the dimly lite room the jedi made a quick back flip to take up a better defensive position. "Then again I never gave you my name, I should have done so, how rude of me, name's Damkor Kirido. Now let's dance." stated the young jedi as he made ready to attack unleashing a series of elegant and hard to see strikes rarely seen in the history of the galaxy. The form of Vaapad was both beautiful and more deadly than almost any other form. Yet he had not yet mastered the form but even still the form would be difficult to block.
The attack came at his hands first forcing Sabith to block each attack and forcing him to drop his gaurd on his left handed side but with his vast study of the second form of lightsaber combat Sabith blocked each blow with just enough time. Sweat had already started to form as the heat of the lightsaber and the speed of his foe forced him to move quicker then he would have preferred. Finally Sabith saw what seemed to be an opening in his opponents form. "Very well performed Jedi the art of Vaapad is a rare gift for one such as you. Yet to use such a form one must call upon the dark side, which I feel strong inside of you join the sith and we shall teach you the truth of the force. Spoke Sabith and with then with only the slightest of moments the form reveled it's flaw and Sabith struck like a serpent. Using the force to increase his speed as aimed straight for Damkor's heart he sent his sword. The attack if successful would end the duel in a single heart beat. If he did not then Sabith would continue to push his attack aiming at the jedi's sword hand.

Damkor was right not to underestimate his opponent, the Sith had found a small opening in his guard and taken advantage of it, thinking nearly as fast as his opponents move he moved to the side, spinning his lightsaber like a shield before him, blocking the attack. "It may call somewhat on the darkside, but it isn't entirely based in it, and I have managed to find bits of the darkside in other forms, form four for instance calls on some level of ferocity, and the form you're using, two, carries the darksides arrogance." Damkor said with a grin. "Not to mention I'm not one for joining up with people who nearly wiped out my order, nor I guess are you, unless you're all for joining the Jedi that is." he continued as he slowly paced in a circle around his opponent, he then moved in slashing in graceful cresent shaped arcs, a green blur following in each slashes wake, at his opponents vitals as well as aiming some very strong kicks at his opponents knees and stomach.

Blocking the coming attacks of Damkor's lightsaber Sabith left himself open to a single kick to the gut. The pain forced him to double over for a moment and when Damkor decided to try and take a cheap shot at Sabith's leg. The sith apprentice brought his blade down to protect his knee. Then with a moment's rest Sabith spun his sword in hopes of forcing the jedi away from him. "Well you very talented young Jedi but I would not return to those who had betrayed me. If not for your masters I would have extinguished every sith in the galaxy but instead they had stripped me of my connection to the force and then I learned that they had nearly wiped out my people in a genocide war they started."
Forced to go on the defensive once more Sabith made his way a top one of the ruined columns and continued to do so rising each time just a bit more until he was far below the ground. At times he was forced to even used his blade to help him stay atop.
Up this high he had gained the advantage for Vapaad required much maneuvering room and here only precise would work. A smile upon his face Sabith continued to speak to the jedi who was so naive. "You see Damkor I was once a jedi master by the name of Arklos Taral. I was once the great leader to the reformed army of light and destroyer of darkness." Looking down at the young Jedi Sabith waited for him to come. "Are you afraid young one, do not lie for I can feel it in the force."
Sabith had not even bothered to find out if he had even managed to wound his foe yet, after all this was only the beginning.

"Tempting, but I'll have to pass on giving you the advantage." Damkor said with a smile. "Let me try this instead." he added, he proceeded to start slashing at column the Sith stood on, he wouldn't be able to take it down imediately, but he could at least unstable it enough to force the Sith down to the ground again, he knew he had the advantage there, but on top of pillars, he was an open target.

As the jedi padawon began striking at the pillers Sabith leaped to the next piller just before it became to unstable to remain standing on it. "Come now Damkor that piller hasn't done any harm to you but then again the jedi attack what ever they feel needs to be attacked don't they." Stated Sabith as turned to look at the padawon once more from the ground he had a plan but he would allow Damkor to do the work for him.
Kneeling onto one knee Sabith eyed the young jedi with contempt as he allowed the few minutes to allow his stomic time to recuperate from the near bone braking kick Damkor had manage to hit. The pain wasn't really that bad but he would have rather not been hit so early in a duel. Gathering a few stones he waited aimed them at Damkor's head though he doubted any good but it would force him to waste more energy then he needed to. Without any real danger coming at the moment Sabith waited to see what his prey would do.

"Are you serious?!" Damkor said, he caught one of the stones that the Sith threw at him, he proceeded to knock the others away with the pommel of his lightsaber. "You're throwing stones, what afraid to get to close, I would have thought a Sith of all people wouldn't hold back. Or did my kick do a bit to much?" Damkor said smiling, he then picked up several stones himself, and threw them in a scatter pattern, they'd likely miss, but be enough to distract him. After they were thrown he sprinted after them, prepared to take any counter coming his way.

"No I haven't even begun to be serious, at the moment I'm just having a little fun and if that was a kick then you need to work on your form much more." lied Sabith as he throw another rock that was deflected harmlessly away by a quick strike of his lightsaber then he did something a little unexpected. Gathering a hand full of stones he flung them at Sabith who simply used his sith blade to block the ones that might actually hit him. At his current height there wasn't many that had come close then he noticed Damkor coming his way. With a smile on his face Sabith shouted to the young Jedi. "So are you finally going to come and face me jedi, as of fear you have no idea what you are about to face."
Calling on the dark side Sabith let it flow though him and slowly bent it to his will pouring his own dark essence into the jedi Padawon his sith poison would not kill the jedi but it would at least slow him down and weaken him more then what he had already done to himself. Raising his blade into a defensive position Darth Sabith began to mock the younger jedi. “Come now I thought you were a jedi come and face me. As for me being a sith and fearful of you. I will teach you the true meaning of a sith for we aren’t just a group of dark jedi boy, we use our brains and command the force itself. We are masters of the dark ways and us our wits as well as our muscles, you would do well to learn this for my blade shall soon tear your flesh and taste your blood."

'Hah, poison, well I guess it's a good thing I took those healing classes.' Damkor thought as he felt the Sith venom permeate through his skin, he focused on the area it was entering and set up a poison immune system to neutralize it. "You should know better than to use poison, it's quite easy to neutralize it. Another thing, no one commands the Force, the Force commands all things, some are meerly deaf to it's beckoning, I warrant that what's wrong with you." he said and he engaged his opponent clashing his blade with the others. While the blades clashed Damkor made work of removing the rest of the poison. "I'm afraid your poison is of little use against me, I was trained well in the healing arts of the Force, another benefit of the Light side, it doesn't warp or damage your body in any way, it does however help you stay nice and handsome." Damkor said with a wide smirk.

The jedi was an entertaining fellow but he borderline on being annoying as the two parried each other’s blades on the pillars Sabith was astonished at how well the young one could handle a blade. "There is nothing wrong with me for I am one of the last decedents of the sith race. It is you who does not understand the force, for in nature everything must change and adapt."
Quickly Sabith aimed a strike at his foe’s right leg but before reaching his mark he changed his blades path sending it on an upward slash that if unblocked would cut his foe's torso in half from his right hip to his left shoulder. At the same moment Sabith began to build up the force inside him and opened his hands in a faint of using Sith lightning to help his strike become a successful attack.

'What is he thinking?' Damkor thought as the Sith brought his blade down toward his leg, 'I can still fight while injured. What is he thinking?' he continued. Then his foes blade toolk a surprising jolt toward his chest, he used the agility of Vaapad to quickly block the surprise attack, he didn't however manage to react as fast as expected and he got a nasty cut across his upper torso, not deep enough to kill, but enough to cause some mild burning. "Nice feint, I'm quite surprised, I hadn't expected to see someone get through my defenses so easily." Damkor said, he then noticed that the Sith was focusing energy in his hand. "Don't you even think about it." Damkor said. "In this proximity I wouldn't be the only one to get fried, you'd get singed as well." Damkor added and he brought his balde up, just in case his opponent did unleash a bolt of lightning.

As the small amount of blood began to seem from Damkor's wound Sabith felt joy. "Fool the dark side will not harm me for we are I one." Without hesitating any longer Sabith opened his hand but instead of sending the dark energy at his challenger he allowed it to escape him and allowed it to harmlessly return into the force. While he did this he brought his sword against his foe again. This time he aimed for Damkor's right hand and just a second before he made like he would once again change his direction but in truth he added just a slight twist to his thrust to help him remove his opposites wriest. In Sabith's mind the attack wouldn't have much chance of being avoided but this Jedi was full of surprises.
With little room to maneuver off the ground Damkor's Vapaad had been minimized and his own form had been given a great advantage. Sabith sith blade moved with effective spread and training that had required years of training to reach his current level. Yet like his jedi counterpart he had not yet mastered it.
