ANH novelization. (I've got a first edition of the paperback). The first EU book was probably Splinter of the Mind's Eye.

Not sure if this really counts, but the first Star Wars book I read was the Return of the Jedi Storybook. The first EU book I read was either The Crystal Star or Heir to the Empire.

Balance Point, was my first book, and at the time I realized that it wasn't the first of the NJO, I was mad considering I wanted to read them from first book to last book.
Due to laziness, however, this was most likely the last book that I read too. Wookieepedia is responsible for my knowledge of the Expanded Universe, not the original source.

The first SW book I read was Jedi Apprentice: The Rising Force when I was around the age of 6. I think my first adult novel was either The Cestus Deception or Heir to the Empire. My cousin gave me Truce at Bakura, the Thrawn trilogy, Dark Apprentice, and YJK: Lightsabers when I was 8 and I might have read Heir before I found TCD at the library. I don't remember.

Kevin J. Anderson's Jedi Academy Trilogy when I was in seventh grade. Then I read Tales from Jabba's Palace, and from there, I was hooked. That's probably why I have a soft spot for KJA's books.
