	Nobody145 CoW, whoops, I meant to say "Luke will come out on top" in terms of a fight, a battle, or just the overall war. I guess we'll see about that, N. Anyway, what I mean is that I have faith that Luke will survive the crisis mostly intact. If he doesn't... well, it won't be the first disappointment of LotF. I don't think Luke has been "mostly intact" since near the beginning of the NJO. Luke keeps regressing under Del Rey. He has really been ruined, probably irrevocably. MasterSkywalker86 hey guys I'm back, I finish my 4 papers, FINALLY!!! Congratulations, MS! so back to Luke anyone have any speculations with what's the next for him after LOTF ? Unfortunately, I fear he's going to be shoved into the background. He seems to do less and less with every book. and when's Mindor coming out ? October, I think. RK_Striker_JK_5 Hey, all. Been a while and sorry for missing out on stuff. Had my wisdom teeth out on the 18th of April and... just not feeling very motivated, SW-wise. Ouch! I hope you're feeling better! And yes, I can understand why you wouldn't be very motivated, SW-wise. I know it's too late to say, but my condolences. Is she better? Yes, thanks! She's coming home from rehab tomorrow. She walks fairly well with a walker, but the wrist makes it hard for her to get in and out of bed and chairs. I've been running from school back and forth to the rehab center. I'm taking the next two weeks off because my mother can't be home by herself yet. Same here. Considering what bacta can do, and the advanced prosthetics available... Exactly! In less than 100 years, Ben and Allana should even be alive. And Tenel Ka... and Jaina... and Lowie... and Lusa... and Waroo... Right, not to mention their children and grandchildren. That's why I'm so opposed to Legacy being placed so close to LotF. It means that so many of those characters had to die untimely deaths, which means none of them got their "happily ever afters". In mine, I'm still waiting for something decent post-YJK. Something that's like SW. Yes, Striker, so am I! that's too funny...since DR have arrive on the scene we had nothing but war...sure they're different from one another but it seems there's no peace for any galactic citizen, and they're hinting now the war will be over.....to surprise have another one. It's definitely been WAY overdone! Translation: To effectively hold Luke back from solving the problem on his own we decided he do nothing.....o wait this isn't NJO...ok he'll get a force vision of a pretty OBVIOUS future under Jacen's rule. Now miraclously Luke decides to rally the jedi with his leadership to take down Jacen.....yay. How much do you want to bet we'll find out that the above is just hyperbole and Luke does basically nothing? Translation: yada yada yada, Jacen is stronger than his grandfather in the darkside but vaguely where to Palpatine ? and now only one bugloving, Fett worshipping, jedi can do it. It does seem that way, yes. Correction: I could kick JINO's butt. Vader on the operating table could kick JINO's butt. An arthritic Ewok could kick JINO's butt. LOL! 	Nobody, Well, SI #2 is out, and as I expected, it wasn't very interesting. Sure, the Invasion continues, but only for the last few pages (although those are nice looking pages). And look, its hero vs. hero! Whose side are you on? Whoops, wrong event. * I quite liked this actually. It engaged the issue of who the heroes on the ship are head-on and it looks like some characters elsewhere are to be Skrulls. The "who's a Skrull" thing is tiresome already, not to mention short of killing someone, its kind of hard to tell who's a Skrull, not with telepaths, time travel, clones, and how these days, ressurections might instead just be Skrull agents. In Marvel, clones have all the memories of the original, right? At least in Spiderman they did, but not sure about the rest. And the Sentry's still a wuss, and probably will be for the rest of the event, or until the final fight, just like with Marvel's last event. * Actually Sentry could well be a Skrull! It isn't as anyone cares about him either. * Couple of recommendations for you lest you've forgotten! Nova 13 is an excellent tale with a terrifying Galactus feasting upon a world! Also, not to be overlooked, is Mighty avengers 13 as we see Fury recruiting a new team of his own. Legion of Three Worlds looks like its going to be an interesting ride though, even if the villain is yet again Superman-Prime. * Johns said a while back that he had a plan for Prime and this could be it. Final Crisis needs to do a few things of decisive impact, killing off Prime would be one such thing. Certainly as I'm looking at some of the stuff involved with Final Crisis and elsewhere there's a very strong sense of connections to 52 and Infiite Crisis. And anybody read the latest Legacy issue yet? Though maybe the official Legacy issue topic back in Lit might be better for this kind of thing. I just read the preview for that. * No one has said we can't talk about it and it was excellent! It barrelled the plot forward, Cade scared the hell out of Rav, only Q is what happens when either Cade or Maladi finds Rav has played them both! Then there's the entry of a new character with Bantha Hawk and a dealing with Cade's clinch with Talon, this sees Cade trying to patch things up with Blue and succeeding. Cade's explanation is very good though, that for all their so-called passion the Sith lack heart and soul! RK, * Don't forget there's the upcoming All Hail Megatron that looks ace! I finished 'Night of the Wolves' and I can't wait for 'Dawn of the Eagles'. Would you call the Occupation ST's version of the 'Dark Times'? It's pretty damned bleak, here! * I'm half-way through only but agreed. What I like though is how it refuses to simplify things, it's pretty clear post-occupation the Bajorans engaged in quite a bit of myth construction. The books so far have been surprisingly critical of the Bajorans. Personally, i can't wait for Tuesday so I can shred Invincible. Oh, wow... * Be careful what you wish for! Oh yes, a recommendation for whenever MS86 returns: I got my copy of The Man With No Name #1 and it was great. 	I'd like to make a recommendation for comics right now and that is Paul Dini's Detective Comics. It's been going on for the better part of two years now but has been nothing but a source of joy since he took over in 2006. Mostly, I recommend them for the utter LACK of the huge sprawling plot lines that are infesting comics today. The majority of the comics' plot lines are started and finished within two issues. Really, I'm about "evented out" on comics and just want something entertaining. Paul Dini's attempts to interject much of the continuity from the Batman: The Animated Series into the mainstream universe (Bruce's friendship with Zatanna for example) has actually worked out extremely well since the Animated Series was my Batman even if I was familiar with the comics well before then. Issues I recommend for people to pick up are * Detective Comics 841, 843, 844: The Return of Scarface * Detective Comics 833 and 834: Zatanna and Batman vs. the mysterious magician Loxias with a surprise twist. Indeed, the only flaw has been DC being so erratic in their placing of Dini on the title but that seems to be coming to an end with Dini now solid on the book, although, if you're evented out you won't be happy to hear Batman 846-850 is a Batman RIP tie-in! Still, the Dini Hit List goes: 821-824, 826-828, 831, 833-834, 841, 843-844 (damn knew I forgot an issue this week!) All are quite excellent and really demonstrate exactly how much you can do with just 22 pages! Another recommendation from me is Invincible Iron Man: Fraction's first issue is an absolute blast, with an added edge for those who've read The Order. It looks like Fraction may well be able to fix the very damaged character that is Tony Stark, as he's been an arse for the last couple of years for little reason. One of Fraction's comments on the character is Stark's need to control the world is a by-product of his alcoholism, but the world cannot be controlled. 	On the Secret Invasion thing, if by addressing the question of the ship superheroes head-on is to have yet another superhero brawl, then everybody in the Marvel Universe should just regularly try to kill each other to keep things interesting. Oh wait, they already do that. Though at least in the first Astonishing X-men arc, it was funny when the teachers at the Savier Academy kept trying to kill each other (of course, back then, there were enough students to appreciate spontaneous brawls ). Anyway, while Mockingbird might be real, I have no idea who she is, and... well, we've seen tons of Skrulls with multiple power sets, so with telepathy in play, something as simple as close secrets between old friends doesn't really count for much. Yeah, Sentry being a Skrull might work, but its not like Sentry ever does anything. Look at how much he contributed to World War Hulk's conclusion. And while that final splash page of all those Super-Skrulls getting off that ship look cool, the idea's not that original. The original Super-Skrull was an amalgamation of the Fantastic Four's powers, and he always lost, and all the costumes are just combinations of various characters (give that Skrull Iron Man's gauntlet, that Skrull Doc Ock's arms, that Skrull a hammer, that Skrull more weapons and a mask, etc.). Although it might be nice to see the heroes beat the enhanced Skrulls because of their greater experience, but the heroes would actually have to pull themselves together, and they've been doing a really pathetic job so far. I know an event involves the hero(es) being the underdog, but... after two, three events, there aren't really many impressive looking heroes left, as WWH literally walked over most of earth's heroes, and Captain America's dead for now, and please, the one from that Skrull ship is not going to be the original (especially as Steve's dead body has been examined thoroughly already). And any guesses on why the Pym Skrull didn't bother to kill the Reed Skrull? I hope they have a concrete reason for it eventually. That, and maybe some explanation (even a vague, technobabble one) for how the Skrulls got so good at infiltration. Then again, one of Marvel's common lines these days is that magic doesn't need explanation, so maybe science doesn't either. It'd be funny if all those imposing Skrulls were just shapeshifted to look like that though. I did read Nova 13, and it was ok, I guess, its nice to see Nova continuing his intergalactic cop thing, since his own title was mostly taken over by a Conquest sub-plot for most of the last year, but a body-hopping serial killer seems kind of cliche. I'm just glad that Nova's shields protected him. I do wonder if Galactus would be willing to wait even a few hours, he's usually not evil, he's just a literal force of nature. Just hope that body-hopper isn't able to move onto bigger targets. Not so sure about IDW's Transformers at the moment. I'm still debating about whether to buy that big Premiere book or not, but guess it depends on how good Transformers: Revelations is. The Megatron thing sounds interesting, though I don't relish a time-jump. I just wish earth had a chance, but the only earth based anti-Transformer organization is Skywatch, and that's already been thoroughly compromised by Scorponok, which mean they have little to no chance against Transformers. I am also... well, I wouldn't say looking forward to Invincible, but I am very eager to finish off that book. My local bookstore sometimes put LotF books out a little early, but guess because this is a hardcover, or the big finale or something. I've been carefully avoiding spoilers, so I'm going insane waiting to find out how it'll end, though I have a bad feeling about it.... Oh well, its like watching a train crash, and all that stuff. Yeah, the latest Legacy issue was excellent as always, even if I'm not a fan of either of the pairings that were advanced (Cade/Deliah and Sia/Antares), but I don't mind them too much either (please don't mind my irrational preference for a Cade/Sia pairing, I know its next to impossible at this point). Don't care too much for the generic tracker, but at least it was great to see Sia again, after so long. Though I do wonder how Sia would look drawn by someone else (as so far, I think Ms. Dureensma is the only artist who has drawn her so far, but the art is already so pretty, so I'm not going to complain). What their mission is anyone's guess at this point, though I'm leaning towards them being order to hunt down Cade, given Roan Fel's rant, but other people have suggested Sia could negotiate on her father's behalf with the GA too, which also sounds like a nice arc, though if that does happen, I'd worry about Sia being off-screen for another dozen issues, as there don't seem to be any GA issues in the near future (or this year, especially with Vector still coming up). I've got to get around to reading those DS9 books. How do the writing styels contrast, as I think the books are written by different authors? Though unlike LotF, a three book project should be much easier to coordinate. They're actually hard on the Bajorans (the authors)? Well, the Bajorans are usually the victims, but there have been occasional hints of... unsavory acts done to survive. Like Kai Opaka and her son, or Kira Nerys' mother, and whatever else, the Bajorans sure came out of the Occupation very, very jaded. Oh yeah, I also highly recommend Detective Comics. It has a lot of Batman's classic rogues, not as adversaries, but they're not reformed either, some of them have simply decided they can go legit and still enjoy themselves (and mostly don't have to worry about Batman dragging them back to Arkham). The new Ventroloquist arc seems to be over (then again, no body, so who knows), but it was a nice arc. I actually would've liked a Batman/Zatanna arc, with how the series has been pushign their friendship (and there was a reference to the possibility of a Batman/Zatanna relationship over in Superman/Batman of all places, when there was magic kryptonite involved, some temptation, and I think Superman was high that issue due to kryptonite exposure). Not sure how many Btas references there are in the comics, but its still an excellent series. I just hope the upcoming Batman R.I.P. series is good, and does better than the last Batman event. -----signature----- Don't mind me, I'm nobody important.

Because this is sounding very Imperial! In a galaxy of highly diverse life such as SW what matter the colour of a being? I'd recommend them so far as they are intelligently written and a very smart showcase of editorial skill. 	Just finish the last of finals, I'm glad to be finish since in a couple of weeks I'm making one final move to my house. After living in a apartment with noisy tentants I really miss having a tranquil house with no one waking you up at 5 in the morning. anywho during the weekend I had some time to look into Legacy while I switched my OS for my laptop to XP, Vista was running too slow on my Acer and was sucking the life out of the notebook. Really when manfacturers release computers they should check the specs, Vista will screw with your RAM if it's underneath 2 gigs, but anywho I miss the familarity of XP and the fact my laptop hasn't crashed yet. As for Legacy volume 2. My Review: Shards starts out with mutlple arcs instead of one single arc like Broken. This leaves the stories feeling a bit short but you get a vast understanding of the events that transpire in Volume 1(which I felt volume 1 really lacked) and what's going on in Volume 2. It's like reading SW Tales with Legacy canon which works very well. Broken originally left me asking questions with Fel, why would he side with the Sith ? where does Veed and Calixte fit in ?, does Antares have a mind ? Thankfully the story explains that Fel never sided with the Sith and Veed and Calixte were holding a coup to dethrone Fel, but I question Calixte's allegiances especially with the recent reveal(why not warn Kol ?). I'm glad to see the GA in the book somewhat, since they weren't really introduce. Ghosts was well done, I'm glad to see Cade making peace with his anger, but it's in gradual steps, we don't want to see a miracle yet. I felt even though he was having hallinuctions that Mara was really there in Force Spirit mode and maybe Anakin. still it's hard to get into the angst of the character but he is at least making progression. Kruhnk throws me a bit off, since he hasn't been around during the NJO or LOTF era or at least mention. it almost wreaks of Yoda, but it's great to see other jedi that have survive. The setup for the next volume has my interest peaked for volume 3. while volume 1 left me in a "meh" state, volume 2 brought back the "SW" back to Legacy. Looking forward to volume 3. way to go Jon Ostrander you got me hooked. the art is nice, I especially like the Adam Hughes art of Luke, just plain awesome. Jan and her cohorts' work standout a bit more and gives a good visual aspect of the new era. though I'm disappointed that the Stormtrooper armor hasn't evolved yet. my only dislikes in the story, is the mystery of where are the rest of the jedi hiding, and if there are other planets thinking of revolting. Plus I would like more Force spirit Luke in the story. one thing that struck me odd, was that race with the four arms, apparently their children are dogs....literally! while volume 1 was 7/10 volume 2 is a solid 8.5/10. I saw the Iron Man movie and it was great, it had all the core concepts down from shaprnel in his heart, to changing to a humantarian, to the romantic tension between Potts and Stark, Downey Jr really played the role of Tony Stark well, that of a likeable jerk. plus Sam Jackson as Fury does happen in the movie. I really want to see a Cap movie after this, that I can see with possibly Matt Damon in the role if he bulks up, see Bourne and Saving Private Ryan movies, but my guess they might go for someone else dunno who. The Avengers movie really looks like it's coming after this. let's see how Hulk will do. ok answer me this, how come Death of CA part 2 is out in pb before part 1 ? and hopefully the end of this week I'll get GL No Fear. The Justice League and JLU is what strike me as the best of the bunch, watching heroes other than Batman and Superman was a real treat to get introduce to Green Lantern and the Flash. The New Frontier movie was good, I was glad to see Hal, though I didn't care for the idea being a period piece it was a cool story still. Nobody Yeah, Sentry being a Skrull might work, but its not like Sentry ever does anything. Look at how much he contributed to World War Hulk's conclusion. that's the problem with Sentry, he's insanely powerful but he's too crazy to control it. he's a poorsman Thor IMO. I just can't get into the character and lo and behold he'll probably be the cause of a crossover event. honestly Marvel should do away with the character as soon as possible. And while that final splash page of all those Super-Skrulls getting off that ship look cool, the idea's not that original. The original Super-Skrull was an amalgamation of the Fantastic Four's powers, and he always lost, and all the costumes are just combinations of various characters (give that Skrull Iron Man's gauntlet, that Skrull Doc Ock's arms, that Skrull a hammer, that Skrull more weapons and a mask, etc.). I don't think it was to be really original, more like the first Super Skrull was the Skrull's prototype soldier. as WWH literally walked over most of earth's heroes, and Captain America's dead for now, and please, the one from that Skrull ship is not going to be the original (especially as Steve's dead body has been examined thoroughly already). And any guesses on why the Pym Skrull didn't bother to kill the Reed Skrull? I hope they have a concrete reason for it eventually. That, and maybe some explanation (even a vague, technobabble one) for how the Skrulls got so good at infiltration. Then again, one of Marvel's common lines these days is that magic doesn't need explanation, so maybe science doesn't either. It'd be funny if all those imposing Skrulls were just shapeshifted to look like that though. well Thor is back, which might change things for the skrulls. while Steve might not be involve, I think James will be in the story a bit. what concerns me is Spidey and Hawkeye. why does he believe Mockingbird isn't a skrull ? couldn't the skrulls have easily found that out ? and is Peter really himself ? Well, SI #2 is out, and as I expected, it wasn't very interesting. Sure, the Invasion continues, but only for the last few pages (although those are nice looking pages). And look, its hero vs. hero! Whose side are you on? Whoops, wrong event. The "who's a Skrull" thing is tiresome already, not to mention short of killing someone, its kind of hard to tell who's a Skrull, not with telepaths, time travel, clones, and how these days, ressurections might instead just be Skrull agents. In Marvel, clones have all the memories of the original, right? At least in Spiderman they did, but not sure about the rest. And the Sentry's still a wuss, and probably will be for the rest of the event, or until the final fight, just like with Marvel's last event. I kinda interested in what Tony has planned, he's left alone to tinker with things. wonder what he's going to work on. Has anybody seen Invaders/Avengers? Not sure where it is in continuity, but having all these Captain Americas running around gets annoying. We have that one in the actual series (who's not Steve, but supposedly isn't a clone, alternate universe, time travel, or anything else Brubaker has said), the one in SI (who's not likely to last long), and now this. probably somewhere after WWH and before SI, I agree that all these fake Caps are making his return less climatic. And anybody read the latest Legacy issue yet? Though maybe the official Legacy issue topic back in Lit might be better for this kind of thing. the only one I saw was the the Adrimal Stazi(i think that's his name)fought the battle with the Imperials. which looks epic to say the least. RK And the periods without galaxy-shaking conflicts has been glossed over at best with stupid timeskips! Not that I'd buy them, mind you... right, there is no break time for the big conflicts to be resolved or to rebuild. I consider Palps to not be the strongest Sith Lord... and he'd kick JINO's butt in 20 seconds, flat. More Monstrous than palpatine? What a load of slag! And ask any Beast Wars fna what slag means... lol, Jacen = Slag. basically the FUBAR of the Transformers universe. speaking of which I caught up with Wreck Gar in Animated, what do you think of the episodes after Megatron's return ? and what happen to Black Arachnia ? Correction: I could kick JINO's butt. Vader on the operating table could kick JINO's butt. An arthritic Ewok could kick JINO's butt. C-3PO could kick his butt Depends. What's Force COmmander? a poorman's Empire at War...stragedy game. JB * I quite liked this actually. It engaged the issue of who the heroes on the ship are head-on and it looks like some characters elsewhere are to be Skrulls. any speculations here ? * Actually Sentry could well be a Skrull! It isn't as anyone cares about him either. he's too crazy not to be a skrull, but we're forgetting some major players here Thor, Dr.Strange and Hulk. especially Thor just coming back recently could hampered the Skrulls here. * Couple of recommendations for you lest you've forgotten! Nova 13 is an excellent tale with a terrifying Galactus feasting upon a world! Also, not to be overlooked, is Mighty avengers 13 as we see Fury recruiting a new team of his own. I hear the Fury issue is really good, but why is looking like Ultimate Fury ? * Johns said a while back that he had a plan for Prime and this could be it. Final Crisis needs to do a few things of decisive impact, killing off Prime would be one such thing. Certainly as I'm looking at some of the stuff involved with Final Crisis and elsewhere there's a very strong sense of connections to 52 and Infiite Crisis. for a newbie in DC what can I expect of Final Crisis ? and the other two events ? * No one has said we can't talk about it and it was excellent! It barrelled the plot forward, Cade scared the hell out of Rav, only Q is what happens when either Cade or Maladi finds Rav has played them both! Then there's the entry of a new character with Bantha Hawk and a dealing with Cade's clinch with Talon, this sees Cade trying to patch things up with Blue and succeeding. Cade's explanation is very good though, that for all their so-called passion the Sith lack heart and soul! whoa I take it Cade is looking for Rav, but why ? Another recommendation from me is Invincible Iron Man: Fraction's first issue is an absolute blast, with an added edge for those who've read The Order. It looks like Fraction may well be able to fix the very damaged character that is Tony Stark, as he's been an arse for the last couple of years for little reason. One of Fraction's comments on the character is Stark's need to control the world is a by-product of his alcoholism, but the world cannot be controlled. I think this story might go into some very interesting territory. with volume 2 of the Order hitting stores in July it leaves me time to collect, Legacy volume 3, GL No Fear, CA Death of CA part 1 -2, heck I'm going to give Brand New Day a chance. there are some arcs which are particulary good. and Mark Waid is joining the team....WAID!!! so how do you feel about the Man with No Name ? -----signature----- " The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force."-Darth Vader "Anakin wasn't what he was supposed to become. Iron Man movie and it was great, it had all the core concepts down from shaprnel in his heart, to changing to a humantarian, to the romantic tension between Potts and Stark, Downey Jr really played the role of Tony Stark well, that of a likeable jerk. * RDG nailed it perfectly. 	Sinny, In regard to your first point, it's only suggested so far - not proven. In 2004 DC did a series called Identity Crisis which had a major revelation of how the heroes handled a truly horrific act of villainy. The repercussions of that reverberated through the DCU and the groundwork of Infinite Crisis was laid. Infinite Crisis led to One Year Later and 52 that was the story of the year gap.
