Ladies and gentlemen of EUC, I am outraged. I am shocked and dismayed at the abhorrent situation of this forum, which lacks -- lacks -- a thread on Lando Calrissian. How this could be tolerated, I have no idea. But this error is being rectified. I present to you this thread in which to discuss your love for the Loooooooove Commander himself, the smoothest man in the galaxy far, far away. Pilot, smuggler, gambler, con artist, businessman, general -- what's not to love about this scoundrel?

I happened to be there at the Billy Dee Williams interview at CIV. Truly an amazing man. Still as smooth as silk after all these years.

Even when I was 8 years old watching ESB I just knew Lando wouldn't sell Han and the gang out. I must've been smarter than Vader. 
I have to say I miss his humor a great deal in the LOTF novels.

Lando is a fantastic character. He's just so much fun, yet there's a lot of depth when you dig deeper, which not enough authors have done. I'm so glad he's got a little Calrissian coming now to carry on the family awesomeness.

I'm glad they've finally settled on Lando having one successful business, and quit the incessant failed ventures, but we just don't see enough of Lando these days.

Over in Lit, Matt Stover has mentioned that Lando is appearing in Shadows of Mindor, though not as a main character. Still, he said he likes writing him. Stover Lando . . . I am happy.
