Soooo, who do you think is the hard-core-est female Jedi/sith of the EU? My sis (who got me to post this with her jedi mind tricks) reallllly like Jaina Solo and Tenel Ka (in the era of the Young Jedi Knights series). What about you?

if by hardcore then you mean the meanest, then I would probably say Lumiya, if by following the way of the force. if not then Darth Cognus.
Female Jedi Would be Mara Jade. If by the way you mean following the code. It would have to be aayla Secura.

Most female Force-users seem to substitute 'stripperiffic' for 'hardcore' in their intended description. Finding one with more focus on fighting than flesh-baring can get tricky. It's really very annoying. I understand that a lot of the writers/artists/animators are male, but could they please stop turning female Force-users into streetwalkers?
I'll have to go with Mara Jade. Much better than a lot of the others.

Jedi- Definitely Mara Jade Skywalker IMHO.
Sith- Lumiya is definitely pretty darned scary. But she may tie with Zannah if that crazy child keeps following the path she's on in the Darth Bane novels.

I am going to go with the consensus here...Lumiya for Sith and Mara for Jedi. 
Though, Mara had her dark times...

Agree'd I don't like to see females used solely for the purpose of selling novels/movies. It is rather boring and has the exactly opposite on me. I don't care what they look like, if they have a good story then that is the one that I'm going to read about. Darth Bane's Apprentice seems ok(Zannah). I think that she doesn't have the influence like Lumiya, it will take sometime in my eyes before she is able to even come close to matching Lumiya.

Mara probably. i would say closely followed by Tenel Ka. back in the day she was pretty hardcore.

Mine is a a toss up between Mara Jaina and Tenal Ka

I've always thought Nomi Sunrider's story of severing Ulic from the Force completely and eventually rising to the rank of Head of the Order was pretty intense. Also, Morrigan Corde and Marasiah Fel are really impressing me in the Legacy comics. 
Overall, I have to go with Mara Jade. Written at her best, she's a total bad ass.
