Hello everyone.
My name is Dark Savior. I have been around the boards for sometime. I have a good reputation with a lot of people, and I am known for being a Grey Jedi. This is not true on the off-site boards. I enjoy playing a bounty Hunter, most of the time a Mandalorian. I noticed that there are all sorts of force user threads and no one really appreciates the bounty hunters who risk their lives for a great deal credits, which is of course the name of the game in certain aspects.
We are here to discuss and honor those of the greats of the past, present, and most importantly of the future, yourselves. We honor Jango Fett, Boba Fett, Calo Nord, IG-88, Bossk, and Greedo. This list could go on for a very long time.
There are some thread rules.
1. No fighting period. Debating is fine, this is what we are here for.
2. The ruling body is "Executive Council" This contains the most reputable, and powerful hunters.
3. You must go through training in order to join a House.
4. If another person asks for help, you must help them, no matter what the interferences are between you. Put them aside.
5. You shall be taught at Skine Bounty Hunter College. This is where you will receive the brunt of your training. After this is complete then you shall shadow an already accomplished Bounty Hunter to complete your training.
6. If you are asked to stop a debate in which an Executive Council member feels that has escalated then please do so.
7. We do accept Force users, but it has to be approved by the Council before hand.
8. Each house has a leader and a Liaison. The leader is on the Executive Council, The Liaison is there for the leader, and for any paper work.
9. A Roster shall be kept at all times. A roll call can be done by anyone and ask if everyone is present. After two weeks of a leader being inactive, they shall be put down to Liaison, after another two weeks, they shall return to regular member status, with a high reputation.
10. Reputation is how you move up in rank. The higher your reputation the more notable you are. Reputation is gained, by contracts, training, posting, activity, over all demeanor.
Each guild in the Bounty Hunters Guild has sub houses, some are specialists such as House Renliss, this house is known for only accepting female applications. They have never been known to take on a male student and they intend to keep it this way. I am going to explain each house and what they mean, there can be only one leader at a time. If you feel that the leader who you have is incapable then you should bring it up to the Executive Council, which will contain the leader. Then a task will be presented, depending on the accusations, the task maybe skipped immediately, and there may be another leader appointed. It takes a 2/3rd majority to bring down a leader from a house.
As well, EVERYONE is required to understand the creed. These are the unwritten rules of a bounty hunter, it is well understood that every bounty hunter knows them, and is expected to follow them. A bounty hunter who failed to follow the code would under go termination of their bounty hunter license, and that is all if they are lucky.
-NO Bounty Is Worth Dying For
This rule emphasized that, no matter how great a reward, a hunter should never take any undue risks to his or her life in order to make a capture. They should also consider how much of a risk whichever bounty was going to be and to plan accordingly. (Of course, how much effort a hunter had put into pursuing a quarry, how great the reward, and if was worth the risk were all open to interpretation in the middle of a hunt.) A reward, even if enormous, was unspendable if a hunter was dead.
People Don't Have Bounties, Only Acquisitions Have Bounties.
This single, cardinal rule, more than any other, defined the way in which bounty hunters approached their chosen profession. It reflected the idea that sapient beings, to some degree, must be accorded respect. If, however, an individual had a bounty placed on them, he or she ceased to be an individual with rights. No longer a member of the galactic community, the "acquisition" became fair game. Tears should never be shed over the fate of someone that was, after all, only an "acquisition."
Capture By Design, Kill By Necessity.
In keeping with the loosely defined hunter code of ethics, killing was sometimes necessary. That was business, pure and simple. However, unnecessary killing was still murder. The hunter, unless otherwise directed by those leveling the bounty, must attempt to deliver the acquisition alive. Often, those leveling the bounty had a vested interest in a live target - and the target might have been better off getting killed by the hunter.
No Hunter Shall Slay Another Hunter.
Simply put, whatever their origin, bounty hunters saw themselves as a special breed. They took their lives (and those of others) into their hands each time they hunted. One may agree with another hunter's motives or insult them for the manner in which they carried out their hunts, but no bounty hunter would ever take up arms against a fellow hunter. This law applied only to hunters who followed the creed, not to those who had a bounty posted on their head becoming merely acquisitions. In such cases, the ex-hunter was no longer seen as a member of the common fellowship and old scores could now be settled with impunity.
No Hunter Shall Interfere With Another's Hunt.
While it was not unheard of for hunters to work as a team, the hunt for a given acquisition was most often seen as a form of personal duel between two sapient creatures. In such a deal, the hunter matched skill and courage against all the resources one's opponent could bring to bear. If the hunter won, it was a personal triumph denoting superior skill and intellect, and not simply a question of luck. To interfere with another's hunt, unless first invited, was to leave the question of "who is better" open and, perhaps forever, unresolved. Of course, competition between hunters was often fierce and there was often a very thin line between "competition" and "interference". This being true, while a hunter was constrained against taking direct action against another hunter, there was nothing to constrain a hunter from hiring others to do the dirty work. Of course, if such an action, successful or not, could be traced back to the original perpetrator, serious consequences inevitably followed.
In the Hunt One captures or Kills, Never Both.
In cases where the acquisition had been taken alive, that "choice" could not be altered. To kill an acquisition in the course of the hunt was one thing, but to purposely kill an unarmed, helpless being already subdued and unable to resist was seen as simple slaughter and wanton butchery. An acquisition "killed while attempting to escape" however, would be an entirely different matter altogether.
No Hunter Shall Refuse Aid to Another Hunter.
While no hunter had the right to interfere with another's hunt, there came times when even the best of master hunters required assistance. In extreme cases, any hunter could have asked for and expected aid and assistance from another hunter, even if it meant that the latter must temporarily suspend his or her own hunt in the meantime to render such aid. Whatever personal grievances or animosities that would be involved between the two parties, it is known and understood that hunters took care of their own. Of course, such assistance was not without its price tag, and the arbitration of payment after the fact could often put a substantial dent in any expected profit.
This is the "Bounty Hunters Creed" those who are found to have broken the creed, will ultimately become an ex-hunter and would be treated as such, using what force is needed to terminate this anomaly in the guild. I shall go into detail as to which creed would be best for you, there are personal creeds in which you should use to your advantage, some only females, some stealth, some more use more 'public' of a display.
House Renliss, or Renliss Bounty Hunters Guild
This house only accepts females and they specialize in taking most of the male bounties. They are an elite group of female hunters that are both feared and respected in the guild. They have a reputation for being more methodical with their methods. Their base of operations is located on Baradas II.
Current Leader: TBD
House Benelex, or Benelex Bounty Hunters Guild
based on Paquallis III, this is another major house. It is founded by Corvastan Benelex, and Boba Fett, using the alias Sava Brec Madak. This house is said to be one of the favorite of the empire and it is said to have the majority of the empire's contracted hits, even their house banner says "In service of the Empire" though it always stayed neutral and didn't join the empire officially.
Current Leader: TBD
House Paramexor
lead, and founded by Guild Master Janq Paramexor. This house prefers to go after the bounties in which they are murders. They are often times known for their relentless effort to bring the murders down, but don't be fooled by that, they don't do it for a noble cause. Their base of operations is located on Denevar.
Current Leader: TBD
House Tresario, or Tresario Bounty Hunters Guild
Lead by Rovan Tresario. This guild specializes in hunting down Pirates, and bringing them in for the reward. It is often said that they enjoy doing this because of the fact that no one really cared what happened to pirates, other than the rest of the pirates, but that is only speculation. Their base is located on Baradas II.
Current Leader: Kahn_Iceay
House Salaktori, or Salaktori Hunters Guild
This is the preeminent member house of the Bounty Hunters Guild. It is said that there is no specialist on one single thing, but they will take any contract on just about anyone. They are often times looked to as the leadership of the Bounty Hunters guild. They are often times using their affiliation to their advantages, this house is one of the strongest houses and is reserved for only those who show true potential, or even limitless potential. Their base of operations is on Resht VII.
Current Leader: DarkSavior
Each house has a specialty, but that isn't the only contracts that they will accept. It is only what they specialize, or are known for. This doesn't limit what 'Acquisitions' you can take.
Other Notables/Affiliation
Skine Bounty Hunter College
Skine Bounty Hunter College is a member house of the Bounty Hunter's Guild.
Imperial Governor Wilek Nereus sent sixteen stormtroopers to the college to receive special training as his "elite" guard, which he called the "Protectorate". This is where all new bounty hunters first attend their training and are able to obtain their bounty hunters license. It, however is not the be all end all, it will teach you about the weapons and the various ways that the bounty hunters use to hunt down a target, capture, or slay him/her.
Please lets remember that this is the internet and there is no need to argue with anyone. It is here for discussion and the enjoyment of the other members of this thread. I know that the majority of people don't wish to be hurtful in their words, but if you think it might hurt someone, I ask you kindly not to post it. I suspect that everyone is familiar with the TOS(terms of service) none of them shall be broken while in this thread. All the same rules apply in this thread, it is not exempt from anything that the Mods might see as breaking the TOS.
Alright, Let us have fun and enjoy ourselves. I am very happy to be the first non-force user thread/club that is here. I am very excited and look forward to getting to know everyone. I am very pleased to announce, the Bounty Hunters Guild is open for recruitment!
Sey edit: We actually have one similar to this in the
Underworld thread
, please resurrect that one.
