I'd suggest checking out How to Draw Comic Book Heroes and Villains, by Chris Hart, and Making Faces by 8Fish. And if you're an anime/manga fan, pick up Chris Hart's How to Draw Manga. The heores/villains book goes over things like perspective, proportion, the things that make a dynamic drawing. Making Faces focuses on facial expressions and even has a section on body language. I've always had difficulty with faces, and this book definitely puts you on the road to improvement. The manga book focuses on, obviously, the manga style. It covers things from anime-styled eyes to giant robots. My art The perspective is skewed on some of them.
