lol
haven't seen this for a while.
My prediction for the end of the NJO: Shimmra is really Ken Palpatine but with a bad case of amnesia (and a bit of YV alterations similar to what almost happened to Tahiri). He finally remembers who he is and surrenders the YV over to the hands of the Galactic Alliance.

Ken really wasn't so bad. He had a tragic history and no offense but his Larry Stu itis is NOTHING to Jacen Solo at this point.
If they can make Uldir from the YJK books a kickass warrior
They can make ken cool

A while back in the EUDF Base, Kwenn asked us how we would do the EU if we were in charge of it. here's mine:
SOTE, TaB, and the X-Wing comics still stay the same. No GODV series (though maybe keep Ken Palpatine around as Luke's first apprentice; introduce him through some means other than a Lost City of the Jedi) Han and Leia get married right after TaB.
Then a story basically along the lines of DE, DE II, and Empire's End (though expand on the last part and make it more easily available ). It should be set about a year after ROTJ. She should be pregnant with the twins at that point instead of Anakin. And include Ken somehow.
The Crimson Empire stuff will fit in here nicely, though perhaps mention Lumiya in here somehow.
Then the X-Wing novels, basically the same, except that they dethrone Isard from some Coruscant-like planet since Coruscant will have been won in the DE stuff. So just take out the "back-up" Imp planet. Probably work Fel into all this somehow. Then the Zsinj stuff with the Wraiths, though no CoPL as we know it. Still getting rid of Zsinj and the stuff on Dathomir, but they're their to get rid of Zsinj with aid from the Hapans, not because Han is trying to win Leia, seeing as how they already are married and have kids. Also, Leia is training with Luke, Kam Solusar, and Ken (yes, he will be everywhere ). And expand on the Chu'unthor stuff as well.
Then TTT still set at roughly the same time as it is now. Keep it the same, though account for Kam and Ken; they and will almost be full-out Jedi by now. Also, Leia is now pregnant with little Anakin and the twins are about 3 or 4 now. Also, get Clone Wars stuff in line with PT info. Luke and Leia will find out about their parents (since the Clone Wars tie in with this story). Oh, and Winter and Tycho will be together by now. Wedge and Iella's relationship will stay basically the same as it is now.
Following this, no JAT as we know it. Luke will set up a Jedi Academy (still on Yavin 4) and have basically the same students, though introduce Kyle Katarn as a prominent character in the novels. Ken will be there and serve as an assistant instructor along with Kam. Corran will be there, still having the same problem as in I, Jedi. Keep the Exar Kun stuff, though no "Luke in a coma" thing. Gantoris will still die, and Kyp will still go Sith, though no Sun Crusher at all. The Maw Installation and Daala will still be there, but no DS prototype or other superweapons. Just the discovery of the Installation and Daala being more battle savvy. That's the threat. no more superweapons. Also, make Moruth Doole and the Kessel people more of a threat. Also, Luke and Mara's relationship develops a lot during this time. They get married at the end of my new JAT Now they can start having kids earlier and keep the Skywalker family tree growing. Plus, Luke's life will just be that much happier and less complex (you'll see what I mean in a little bit). And emphasize Leia's Jedi-ness
(this will happen in general from this point forward).
NO Callista trilogy!!!! Don't need her anymore. Luke has Mara. superweapons suck. Though maybe have a book detailing the stuff Daala was pulling in Darksaber, it will focus solely on the Imperial threat.
Then SoA for all us Allston fans. Wedge finally gets together with Iella. Also, novels chronicling Jedi Knight and Jedi Outcast, because they need to be told and Kyle is awesome, though increase the role of the other Jedi (especially Ken ).
No Crystal Star. We all know why.
the BFC will focus solely on the Yevetha threat (< had to edit; initially typed "YV" ). No Teljkon vagabond, and since Luke has Mara and knows about his mother, his story is (thankfully) unnecessary. Maybe include some more Jedi stuff. Mara has baby Ben at this point in time. Keep The New Rebellion, but implicate Lumiya's involvement somehow (just because it would work well here) and make any necessary inclusion of characters (you all know who I mean).
Then the Corellian Trilogy largely as it is, though accounting for the ages of the Solo kids and Mara and Luke's marriage (as well as their kid). Then the Hand of Thrawn duology, again accounting for the same stuff.
After this, YJK and JJK stuff, though combine them so that they're all there around the same time. Keep all the same characters and such, but different plots (I don't know what exactly). Have them find a hermitic (is that a word?) Ikrit rather than how he was found in JJK. Keep the Shadow Academy stuff. Include Ken, Ben, a younger Skywalker daughter (I don't have a name at this point) and Corran's two kids. Have him (Corran)as an instructor at the Academy. And Kyle Katarn too.
Then the NJO as we know it (accounting for new characters or different histories of characters that arise from my EU). However: Anakin does not die. find some other Jedi martyr (not Ken ). Jaina still ends up with Jag, though Zekk and the other YJK characters should have bigger parts anyways. Also, Jacen stays with Tenel Ka. Danni Quee hooks up with Ken.
and that's all I can think of for now. I may add an appendix if I think of some other stuff.
just trying to fit the poor guy into continuity and fix the other problems I have.

Ken IS KYLE KATARN!
Basically he grows some muscles, changes his last name, and makes up a story about his background before the ass kicking first student of Luke goes on a rampage against the Dark Side
