I see you tweaked your story Kecen, I'll have to go over to the thread when I'm done with packing again and have a better read. They are sending me off somewhere random again...joy
And ditto on the avatar question.
jhc36, that's ok, we have a lot of players who are sort of part-time due to darth real life, somewhat leniant on that, though more Yuuzhies would be cool, i'll have to start advertising for them on various sites again, we can't seem to entice many players - perhaps I'm going about it the wrong way? *sniffs* Do I smell?
My new Yuuzhan Vong mini's arrived today, awesome art on the cards as usual, the warrior one was particuarly nice Interesting take on the shaper, will be useful in my costume...speaking of which, the test-hand was a success, so I'm now in the process of creating the actual prosthetic, pics to follow in my journal.

I have no idea who it is on my avatar, only that it resembles a purple dinosaur. I've just realized the art on SWAG is all more skilled than mine D:
Gods no, I hope I don't write too sappy... And then I'm writing an even sappier one about a freak child on a worldship.

Isn't that Desann from the Jedi academy game? I recognize that purple face from somewhere lol.
And I wouldn't have called it sappy exactly, I've read fluffier fics that make me cringe, but this didn't do that, so I don't think you need to fret about it being more sap than romantic. Your next one sounds very interesting though. A freak child? So are they a shamed one?

Oh no, not freak child. Seinheild.
But ain't the two just the same thing, except one is more specific?
It's a little confusing er...it's about a mumsy dearest who is walkin' her kid home after a bad day and who also didn't kill him after he was born because he was perfectly healthy except for one awful detail. It's a companion to my previous Vongfics, and a cliffhanger ending...

Eh, with LotF wrapping up with Invincible, I guess there may be room for our favourite aliums. Or is there? It seems the comics are the more mainstream part of Star Wars (and the Yuuzhan Vong seem to translate better into visuals). Vector...doesn't that name sound familiar? There may just be something to look forward to in the next story arc of the Legacy Comic (according to the letters to the editors). What happened at the Jedi Temple is still a cliffhanger. Hopes up for more appearances by Nei Rin...in a bouffant. In a flashback.

I have been wondering about this too, we all know what eventually happens, because we've glimpsed the far future in the Legacy comic series. But I would abseloutely love to see the Yuuzhan Vong back in a novel after they are done with Invincible.
As for weather or not the Yuuzhies transfer better to visuals or in text, I would say either. It's great to have some new and interesting Yuuzhan Vong art of the official kind out there, but I really enjoyed those novels in the NJO that went into some depth with them. You can't really create the same sort of atmosphere in image as well as you can in words, because the imagination works harder than anything your eyes can see on paper IMO. That's not to say what we have seen has been bad, quite the opposite, but I just think a novel would convey a new outing better perhaps.
And speaking of perhaps...perhaps we'd even see (FINALLY) the return of Nom Anor...he's not dead I tell you!
I am equally looking forward to seeing Nei Rin and Co. in another edition of Legacy, has anything been strongly hinted at yet? As Kecen said, the storyline has been left wide open, so it's kind of inevitable.

Oh, there's a humanoid with Liaan Lah's hairstyle in Issue 23, but I don't suppose he's in it.
I might just decide to start reading Star Wars novels again if the Yuuzhan Vong are in it, except by now my version of them are more like Hapans with blowholes (man-hating harpies?). I always envision Domain Val and a couple of others with a reigning matriarch planetary coordinator and genetic matchmakers(hope my fantasies aren't shattered by the introduction of a Val in Legacy). Domain Grahois, another domain I've developed on my own, is a bit inbred...

I often do my hair like that
And I feel it's my duty to prove how ridiculous we, the glorious Yuuzhan Vong, would look with bouffants...

I will understand if someone wishes to sacrifice me for this heresy
Please excuse the long link, the markup codes weren't working for me DX

I would of liked him in a black Beehive, hm. Blonde suits him.
I have a new fic (or poem) up involving a warrior in a thong. But it's also Anakin/Tahiri (don't worry, there's Nen Yim, Ylenwe, and a random female warrior who got blown up on a commando mission).
Tahiri, Don't Despair.

Just a note, Blue_But_Beautiful, you feature in the EUC Fanfic. I've linked you to the first page of the story you eventually appear in, but you're in part four. The rest of you will feature in four more stories time, I'm afraid, but you shall eventually!

I love the new banner, I always liked that pic too, makes him seem a lot more ominous that way.
And wow...well I wasn't expecting that Sinre It's late now but I read the first bit now quickly and omg that's great I haven't got to the part where I appear yet, will give it a proper read tomorrow Thanks for the heads up!

*jealous* I've never been a cameo in someone's story before...well not directly. Ahem, S'uun Esh's tablemate.
Ahaha, now if I could find someone who could trade YV minis for original art...

Thanks jhc Though I think Sinre confused me with a member of the undying flame sect I'm referred to as male and female unless I read wrong??
And not a bad idea Kecen, but again I have one of each of the Yuuzhan Vong minis at the moment, oh and two advance scouts I got in some good deal.
Coincidentally, I am selling off all of my current and past work to put towards my wedding...which reminds me, if I have not told anyone here yet, I got engaged a few weeks ago So if anyone has any Yuuzhie requests
