I will just smile and nod then, and pretend I know what is going on 
jhc - it's coming along good, I am switching between that and the headdress, I recently did a test using some fibers that I normally use to make my already dreadlockish tentacle hair anyway, and figured that if I could insert something into the center of the locks, then attach them to some sort of base to be worn over the scalp, I should be onto a winner. Nothing too substancial to post in the blog just yet, as I have been covering 2 people away at evil-work, and organizing a wedding-thing lol. But there has been progress, oh yes.
In regards to the actual shapers hand, I am reconsidering creating the whole hand as such, and going for finger-prosthetics instead, unless I was going for the whole master's eight fingered hand of course, in which case I might make another prototype, just for the fun of it 
I am still sketching up final designs for the oozhith too.
I updated my fic too if you haven't had chance to read that yet

Hehe yes that's true, but they don't sell wire coat hangers anymore  I am planning on using some durable garden wire, it should hold up to being trapped in the middle of all those fibers without rusting while they are wet. As it is, the stuff I use for my hair stands on end by it's self when it is a certain length (Hopefully that will save on the wire), I end up having to put weights on mine to keep them down at first  It would be nice to keep some movement in the tendrils and wire just seems too static - but never say never, I am giving all suggestions a go, thanks!

mort i'm doin well i guess. just got back from a funeral today for a girl i knew. so that was pretty terrible. other than that... doin good.

Hopefully, thanks. And yeah - the wedding things are kind of starting to take over lately, we haven't set a definite date yet, so it's very much up in the air.
I am a bit bummed that the writers have left the Yuuzhan Vong out after reintroducing them so well, they did leave the temple plot unfinished though, and it was said that we would be seeing more of them in issues to come - so like Kecen, I have a good feeling they'll be back sooner rather than later.

That was interesting completely blasphemous mind...
And seeing as we are posting pics of ourselves in our Ooglith Masquers lately, I thought I would post this pic of myself in mine. Plus the latest way of creating those Shaper's headdress tentacles has been utilized in creating the rest of my hair
The ones on the final piece will be much thicker in diameter and will have wire inserts to keep them from flopping over like these do - though these actually stick up a lot more than they are in this photo. I was leaning on them to keep them under control
