Mhhh... if someone wants to tell Amy Allen that she is 'hot' at a convention, they're free to do so but I don't think you'll make a very positive or even intelligent impression with that line. (People probably already have done that so I don't think it'll be very original to boot...)
Amy's a really nice person though, always friendly to all the attending fans. It was great to see her again at Celebration III.

Amy Allen is definately hot, but I too like her character more.
and yes, Amy Allen is an incredibly nice woman, I met her at the mid-ohio con a few years back, and got to talk to her for quite a while

Woo hoo! I'm HOME! Aayla's my favorite EU character 
I'm kinda surprised to find this thread buried this far back in the forum pages considering that most horrible event that took place in the movie.
Anyway, I first saw Aayla in Ep II and did some online research to find out who she was. A few back issues of SW: Republic and John Ostrander and Jan Duursema made me a fan. She's such an interesting character and it's a shame that if she had to meet her end, her creators weren't the ones allowed to determine it

ANd for those of you who have met Amy Allen, what's her voice sound like? I'm trying to put a voice to the dialogue.

I'm shocked that this thread hasn't had any posts in over a month! Aayla is one of my favorites in the EU.
I saw a lot of discussion about Amy Allen's appearance at C3, were any of you able to meet her?

She's been in quite a few issues of the "Star Wars: Republic" comics, PrincessofVictory. www.jediaayla.com is probably the best place to brush up on some Aayla history, but here are some highlights:
Star Wars (later known as "Star Wars: Republic"), published by Dark Horse
#19-22 - "Twilight" - her first appearance
#32-35 - "Darkness" - Aayla's master, Quinlan Vos, brings her back from the dark side.
#42-45 - "Rite of Passage" - a great storyline that gives a little background into her past and also chronicles her ascension to the rank of Jedi Knight.
#68 - "Armor" - Aayla confronts her former master after it appears he's gone over to the dark side.
Star Wars Tales
#14 - "Tides of Terror" - not entirely in character, IMO, but it did give rise to the Kit Fisto/Aayla Secura romance thing that sort of found its way out of the AU and into the EU via:
Jedi: Aayla Secura (one-shot) - Aayla vs. Aurra Sing
The first three can be found in trade paperback format, the other two are part of the "Clone Wars" TPB collections.
Outside the comics, she's made an appearance in a Clone Wars short story called "Elusion, Illusion" that was printed in the "Star Wars Insider" magazine.

I don't know how her voice sounds, or if anyone has clarified the way her name is spoken, but I recall Ki-Adi Mundi said her name in season II of the Clone Wars, and it sounded something like "Aye-lah". Hope that helps.

I think you are right about the pronunciation Her name is said in the Clone Wars micro-series.
I would like to also put a voice to the character... she is in so many comic books, and it would be nice to do such. The same is with Assaj Ventress... luckily we get to here her speak in the Clone Wars though.

Thanks Darth-Vassago! After I posted that I remembered that Ki-Adi-Mundi said her name in the second season of Clone Wars. Which is good, 'cuz that's how I've been pronouncing it all along  So how about "Secura"? I always figured it was along the lines of "Fortuna" (as in "seh-KOO-rah" -- although I may have been mispronouncing Bib's surname since '83)
I'm pretty sure it's an open membership policy, DarkHorseXIII. The more the merrier!
So here's a question I've been meaning to ask. What's your favorite Aayla moment from the comics? Mine's the flashback in "Jedi: Aayla Secura" when she becomes Quinlan's padawan. That exuberance she shows is just plain endearing

I think you're right, about "Secura", Snuggle. That's how I pronnounce it, and so do my friends, so it must be right!

I haven't seen the second season of CW yet.  (I wish it was coming out on DVD sooner.) So I'm still hopelessly mispronouncing her name. I've been saying it "Aye-al-uh" for years now. I don't even try with Asajj Ventress's first name. To me she's just Ventress.
