So is this going to be something like a trial issue?
Oh and, I have a fanfic to contribute...

We definitely need to be doing a trial issue, just see how well it is received
Great, adding you to the start of the list. Chapter Contributers, Fan Artist, Article Contributor, etc also available (any other positions you can think of?).
Project Leader: timbolton
Fan Fic contributor: Amon_Amarth
Any other roles you want Amon?
I am in two minds to which fic we publish - partly because some fics are quite long, and we don't want weighty pdf files - either excerpts of established fic on the Fan Fic area and a "See more here ..." tag at the bottom, or just short stories, word limited perhaps? I guess that should be down to the contributors, but maybe we need to discuss a word limit.

I can also do fanfic. I think the word limit should be something like a side of A4 if it's going to be in A4 format. If the fics are really long they could be split up into sections and done over a few issues.

Yeah, that could be the way forward
One other way, we poublish part of each fic in the magazine, but we then refer readers to go online to finish the story. That work? Keeps the link of FF with the boards we inhabit.

Our Fanfiction Blog needs a boost. We can supply our own fanfics published there, plus more to come.

I agree. Also, publishing longer fanfics may be a good opportunity for teh ultimate cliffies! And then tim, or RSA, or whoever the editor is, will have the opportunity to use those funny, colorful, extra bold comic book fonts and write:
-- Will our heroes survive the Death Star explosion in the NEXT ISSUE of FANFORCE Newletter?!?

Speaking of fics...
Done Chapter 4 yet, Heda?
And I would contribute something to it, but it'd either be a) too long, b) too dark, c) too silly, or d) against the TOS

Nope.
I did chapters 5&6 though. CH4 is just...a black hole in my fic.
but by contributing, I was thinking of my Visions fic. It's short.

Well, send me Chapters 5 & 6 to beta then, it might take me long enough to do them that you can fill in the gaps
And Visions is good, so that'd work
I think the shortest thing I have is that silly A/P fic, or the Malak story. One is too poetic, the other too silly/gory for any magazine
