hey all i am new to this forum.. i live in henderson just across that money saving bridge. i posted some pics of my collection. I will try to get off of work this weekend so i can attend the Meeting at Comic quest... can someone tell me do you all dress up in star wars costumes when you attend these meetings?

Money-saving bridge is right! just going down there to get gas is worth the short trip ^_^
teeheehee, I'd LOVE to see the looks on everyone's faces is we DID show up in costume... Heck, if I were there at the moment I'd totally do so alongside you! But alas, we usually come garbed in normal, everyday, jeans/t-shirt/chain armor bikini/khaki geekware. Minus the pocket protectors of course, I don't think I've ever seen anyone sporting one of those XD

Yeah, our costumers generally come in plain clothes. There's nothing to say you can't show up in costume, just no one ever has.

Well, we talk about club business, of course, and have updates on all three of the SIGs. We also talk about our plans for the future, any events we have coming up, and general discussions on all things SW. Not to mention, we spend quite a bit of time just geeking out.

I'm the Book Club Fuhrer your mothers warned you about.
I require each new servant to read the book of the month and then write a 5 page essay about the book.
Oh and you must also create paper plate tamborines. Complete with decorative multicolored strips of construction paper.

Howdy, not only am I a newbie to the recent discovery of the Tri-State fans and emotional because of it, I like the fact that I have a place to go now and talk about SW and such at 1:30 in the a.m. when everyone else is asleep! lol I look forward to trolling your forums (reading, not replying to everything :P) and learning about ya'll!

Welcome Frank! Glad you joined us, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I hope to see you at an upcoming meeting (they're listed at the top of the page). We usually meet 4 times a month, so there are plenty of opportunities to attend! BTW I too drive about 45 minutes to take part in the club (from Mt. Carmel, IL), so I can sympathize with your situation. Believe it or not, my dad's from Pike Co. (he graduated from Otwell High School in the early 60s). I lived the first 2 and a half years of my life in Petersburg, before moving to Illinois.

Thank ya' bunches. Was trying to get some MSN contact going so I could go mobile with my PocketPC 8125, but looks like I'll be burdened down to the ole comp tonight ( was supposed to head to Oakland City and play some Battlefront II ). I come down to E'ville like twice a month, but I was looking at your times and what not for meetings and they keep falling on days I work...guess it looks like my comp time is going to get used finally lol!

I need some help however establishing a costume, i have a crappy cloth one that I bought for when AOTC came out for IMAX but that was about it. If there are any recommendations, I do plan on going Stormtroop, but I'd like to get a desert custom pads and what-not for the shoulders. I know it's gonna cost me an arm and a leg, but that's ok, I'd like to get a reasonable price and mat list, but If any of you can make them or show me how to I would rather build my own, using a commercial suit as a last resort.
