Mother's Day Challenge - Open for discussion!

Since we're getting close to this year's Mother's Day, I thought it would be appropriate to have a challenge complimenting the international holiday. So here you have it, the official Mother's Day Challenge.
There's just ONE simple RULE:
The story has to portray the relationship between a mother and a child.
The timeframe (also AU is accepted), characters and genre are for you to deside as is the length of the 'fic.
The final date to post the 'fics on the right board and a link to them in this thread is Sunday May 11th. The timelimit is at 11.59pm boardtime.
Please put "Mother's Day Challenge" into the thread title of your stories, to help others know what the 'fics have been written in relation to.
This is a friendly challenge, the main reason for which is simply to get more mother/child stories out there for us to read. Thus there are no actual prizes, but we could have a vote at the end to find out which of the challenge replies is your favourite. Let me know what you think.
I will update this post with the links to the stories as they come, so you'll have an index right on the first page.

Great challenge idea. 
BTW, you can make a line easier by using [ hr] without the space after the first bracket. That way it won't make the screen extra wide.

I don't mind it being a part of something bigger. Just as long as it clearly depicts a mother/child relationship. But when you post the link to the story, please add the page and preferably also the chapter of the scene(/s) to the information.

The stories can be set in AU. Only the mother/child relationship rule has to be met. Pretty much everything else is up to you.
I'm glad to hear you have an idea growing, I can't wait to get to read them! 
And everyone: Please put "Mother's Day Challenge" into the thread title of your stories. This would considerably help others notice what the 'fics have been written in relation to.
