Hi Glitbiter, and thank you for taking time to look! I'm glad the Skywalkers look alright to you--that's always the goal, when drawing these characters--and it's wonderful to hear you like my interpretation of Saba!  I had only a couple of resources (both from comics) when I originally drew her, so I had very little to go on in terms of a canon image. I went with as much as I could from the book descriptions of her, and then just made some things up...I suppose this is where she most departs from canon... I've gotten the "hungry" comment on her here more than once! lol! I think it suits her, for when she's "on the hunt!" **nodding** Many thanks for looking, and for the kind words!

Hi there mkz, and many thanks for plowing that far back into the gallery! "Revelations" was one of those pieces that became one of my personal favorites--just the look on Obi Wan's face, so gentle--and pained--and yet so strong...and poor Padme, sitting there in utter shock... I have a request that's coming along pretty well now (though I have to draw SMOKE in the background...and am in a dither as to how to go about that with PENCILS...)--if I don't get something else going soon, I'll try to get a WIP up on that (he's an RP character--a Mando Jedi! ). And there's one more "Fury" scene that's haunting me (for those who've read the book, you probably know which one!  ), so I'm kicking ideas around on that, too... Many warm thanks for all the replies--on the new and the old work!

I look forward to your continuation, and I just wanted to let you know that I finally got it to sorta work enough to post some images. I took your pre-abscence advice and started out with a couple of things I did for college, will add more of it later. (Though there is a good bit I cannot) I will crop a few images to make them presentable later on.

FalconFan - thank you so much! I've been debating whether or not to start my own thread, but then I thought, maybe it's better to wait awhile until I know people better? I don't know. One thing's for sure, though, this has me wanting to draw more EU characters! I've been neglecting Star Wars lately... *hangs head in shame*

I'm working on a request for a long-patient and long-suffering requester on another forum, and figured I'd share what I have done so far: this is a RPG character, a Mandolorian Jedi (whose name I do not yet know...silly me! )--he's played in every era, from KOTOR to EU--I figured I'd put him somewhere in the aftermath of a OT battle (the request was for some "battle evidence," which for me amounts to a couple of dead stormtroopers [not visible in this upper crop], some billowing smoke and a patrol flight of X-wings streaking overhead... ). It's a departure from the typical Mando armor, as it's also supposed to double as an emergency egress spacesuit, should that be necessary...so more coverage than typical Mando armor. I still have a ton to do on this...but don't have anything else to put up just now! lol! So--crits are welcome, and as always--views are treasured!

Wow, he's looking great! I really like his face. He looks very determined. And I love the background, so far, it's very dramatic! Nice job on his hair, and on the X-Wing smoke. Can't wait to see the finished version!

Nice work on the image thus far FF! It's lookin good[face_thumbsup], but is thebetween armor spaces actually something else negating the typical look of grooves? Cause at the moment it looks like their some possible epoxy between the plates of armor.

Wow! Amazing start, FF!
Great atmospheric effect you got going so far with the background and how you rendered the X-wings flying overheard. That's a really neat touch! The figure itself is very well drawn as well. I like the tension of his body language and the determined expression on his face. Nice job capturing that! I can't wait to see this one completed!

Thank you! I'm glad it looks okay--I worried a bit about the ships detracting from the character (not a good idea for a piece like this); if they don't, then I'm happy and relieved! Thanks for your comments and observations--it means a lot!

The armor isn't the standard Mandolorian armor--it's modified to serve as a protective space suit as well as to be armoring in battle--the pieces are molded together for that purpose. That's probably the "epoxy" effect you see. I'm working from a purely written description, so don't have any references besides the standard armor--thus the problem of trying to get things right! I hope it looks enough like Mando armor to remind folks, though! Thanks for the critique--always appreciated!--and especially for taking time to look!

Ah, FalconFan, it's always a treat to see new work from you. 
Love the WIP, a Mando Jedi is an interesting concept, isn't it? Aragorn's face makes him look very noble, and Mandolorians have a lot of honour, so a good 'match' there
It's looking excellent so far, can't wait to see this one completed

Wow, it's been ages since I've been to Fan Art. I love your Mando Jedi WIP!  I love how you used Aragorn as a rough guide, because he's definitely got the right traits. I love the expression -- serious, determined. Your drawing is, as usual, exceptional. I love the details in the background with the flying X-Wings!
