Hi FalconFan - back for some more of your amazing pieces. Your Mandalorian Jedi is very cool indeed. I love the strength in his face - actually his body ain't too bad either. 
And the "Care to Surrender" one is just perfect - again the detail you inscribe into the faces blows me away. I really love your Ben, and find that that is how I see him now when I read. And Saba is great. I've had a kind of slippery image of her (no pun intended) for some time, but now I shall be able to use yours as a point of reference. Luke is of course excellent as usual, but I really like the way you get his eyes and jaw line in this. I can see the careworn lines, but still that essential Lukeness. 
Just lovely. 
I always go away from your thread inspired. I'm still very moved by the drawing you did of Ben's vigil and also the one of Wedge and Iella. (I have some notes for a poem based on the latter one, both Wedge and Iella being favourites of mine.)

Oooh, nice, another Mando from you!  Very cool job so far, the background looks damn sweet (parading X-wings, yay!), and the details on the character are also top-notch. I love the variation on the Mando chestplate, the way the coat is fixed and all. The battle-damage looks also great, as does his face and expression. Bravo, so far!

All I had to work from initially was a rough description, including his having shoulder-length brown hair and the "neatly-trimmed moustache and beard;" from there, I went looking for strong-looking men with long brown hair and beards! Of course, Vigo Mortenson's Aragorn was one that came to mind (  ), and I found a photo that worked, angle-wise, so I used it! I'm glad the expression and appearance seem to fit! Thanks for taking a look, and for the kind comments!

LOL!  I used that trick to try to make his hair show up better against that dark, dark sky, lol! If it seems to fit the character, then it's one of those "happy accidents!" Thanks so much for commenting (and I hope I can get this finished soon...poor guy's been waiting since summer! AAACK! **shamefaced** )--it's always greatly appreciated!
Hello Idrelle! Thanks for dropping back in, and for the kind words! I'm glad that background looks okay--I worried a lot about it being too distracting; everyone seems to like it, though (and I hope it continues to "blend" well once I get all his dark armor/clothing done!)! As I said above--I hope to get this done soon (been working on it pretty hard in my free time!)! Thank you again for taking a look!

Hello Tahi (my new favorite poem-writer!)! For those of you who have read "Inferno," take a look here for Tahi's fabulous piece about Ben's...experience there...it's breathtaking! Thank you so much for taking a look at the latest; I'm always glad to hear that Luke looks like Luke!--and if I've given you a good image for Saba Sebatyne, then that makes me happy, too! And Ben...well--we both love the boy, it's clear! **nodding** I will definitely be looking for the Wedge/Iella poem, too, then--your piece about Ben is fabulous! Many thanks for dropping back in! 
Hey Corran! I wondered if you'd find this, Mando-fan that you are!Obviously, there are some significant modifications to the standard armoring/costuming--it's a RP character, so that's to be expected. If he seems to fit into that character mold, though--especially from your own most-expert perspective!--then I'm halfway there! Thanks for taking a look (and I'll be in touch about Ara soon!)!

Cool! Everyone seems to like the patrol overhead--guess it wasn't a bad decision to put it up there after all! The hard part of that, though, was getting the sky behind them dark enough to show up the atmospheric contrails--ah, all the details! Thanks for taking time to check out the WIP--it's very much appreciated!
This WIP is taking shape faster than expected, and hopefully I'll be able to get it posted before the week is out--don't quote me, though! lol! There's still a lot of background and fill-in left to do. Warm thanks to all that drop in to look and comment--it sure means a lot!

Lovely work!!! Not much to crit, it is well worked out... ...and my composition skills are seriously lacking. But if I were to say anything (and the character works great as is) it would be his chin. He might not have quite enough of it - the space between his mouth and chin bottom could use a smidgeon more, unless you planned it this way of course. He has a bit of beard, so that would add to the mass of it as well. But amazing work, FalconFan! And just great to see you back at it!

Un-freaking-believable. I literally had chill bumps go down my spine when I looked at that picture. It's beyond perfect. Loved the blast marks lining the corridor btw (nice touch). Welcome back, FF.

As I mentioned above, I hope to have the WIP completed in the next few days--I'm also working on a new L/M piece, from early in their relationship (...kind of a romantic piece...I've been feeling a need to do something like that for a while now... **is missing Mara badly**  ), as well as another illo from "Fury." Here's the completed WIP--it's a RPG character for a user over at Deviant Art, a Mandalorian Jedi called Garyn Fett (...I finally got his name!)--this is set in a battle aftermath sometime during the OT (the character plays in ALL eras, so I was at liberty to choose the time frame for this!). As always (and particularly with full body drawings), critiques and suggestions are welcome and encouraged! Thanks for coming back to take a look at the final version (it's always especially appreciated for a non-canon character!)!

I love the Mando Jedi! The completed work is truly brilliant, Deb. I love all the detail on his armour; it's very realistic and for some reason, I just can't get enough of the tattered hem of his cape. It's an excellent addition, because I can imagine that his cape would get tattered after all those battles. I love the background details too; the smoke rising in that column across the horizon adds the perfect dangerous atmosphere to the piece -- as does the limp bodies in the background. I like how there's no cityscape or anything -- the barren wasteland depicted in the background really adds a feeling of ruggedness (although I image there must be a burning city somewhere, thanks to all that smoke... or maybe it's a crashed ship, who knows?). Dangerous and brutal are the two things I'm feeling most from this drawing -- you sure know how to draw a realistic situation!
Can't wait to see what you're drawing next!

That looks absolutely wonderful. The stance looks right, the detailing is lovely, and the shading on the torn cloak... .
Putting those dead stormtroopers in the background, lying flat down in perfect perspective... now that's just showing-off.
